So I just read the RPGA Character Creation Guide update, and I was reminded that in the RPGA if you want to purchase an NPC's ritual casting services, you pay the component cost of the ritual +20%. This 20% is most likely to represent the NPC wanting some profit out of the deal.

So my idea is that purchasing ritual services from Dragonmarked NPCs' dragonmarked rituals only costs as much as the value of the ritual's component cost, with no percentage mark-up. Their dragonmarks make the rituals more efficient and consume less components, and they pass along the savings to you.

For example... If you tried to get a Cleric of Bolderai to perform a Remove Affliction ritual on you from her ritual book, she would charge you 250 gp for the component cost, plus 20% as a voluntary donation to her church, for a total cost of 300 gp.

However, if you weren't feeling so generous, you'd just go to a House Jorasco clinic and pay 250 gp.

Obviously this inferred "discount" would not also apply to the Dragonmarked feats. As in, I wouldn't make rituals any cheaper to cast for Dragonmarked PCs just because. They haven't gone through the years of training to reduce the component consumption of their dragonmark-granted rituals.
