Here is a in-character writeup of the first session:

Feel free to check it out. The Obsidian Portal page is coming together, but still a little rough around the edges. Go easy.

Well written. It's good to know that others have already started their new Eberron journeys.

We just finished an Eberron campaign around January, and we had intended to jump into the newly updated FR. When we learned that there would be no such thing for a while, with no FRCS in their immediate plans, we came home to Eberron.

If time and health allow, maybe I'll draw some inspiration from you and others, whose stories I've enjoyed reading over the years, and finally post some of our experiences. We are only one session into something we've never done in 10 years of the setting-- a Sharn campaign. We've started several in the City of Towers, but have never played an actual Sharn-based campaign until now. I'm pretty pumped. We have an interesting group of characters.

Currently I'm in a campaign that's jumped the timeline ahead thirty years. Note that this is NOT what I see as the plan for Eberron overall - just a way to incorporate the events of the previous campaign into the future of the setting. Among other things, Jaela sacrificed herself to protect the Flame back in the original campaign, so now one of our current PCs is Jaela mysteriously reborn... using halfling stats to reflect her being a child. I'm playing a paladin of the Ghaash'kala orcs, who has been led to L'il Jaela to help with his own destiny; I'm looking forward to the opportunity to delve deeper into the Ghaash'kala and the Demon Wastes.

Those campaign notes sound like an interesting read! I'm a sucker for story lines involving the Silver Flame. It's by far the most compelling fantasy religion I've ever encountered.

It's nearly impossible to predict the endgame state for any campaign that lasts a while. Looking back at "how we changed the world" can be a satisfying thing. We typically don't carry over major changes or timeline advancements form campaign to campaign, with our adventures in Ptolus being an exception. It might be something we'd enjoy if we did it more often.

Gah,

If only I were brave to do two Eberron campaigns.

However, I'm also a Realms Fan, so I am starting a Realms game myself to introduce the post Sundering world my way.  Already, I have players out to oust Bhaal.
