Contagion giving lots of Ongoing damage, Madness blasting Will defense and saves vs mind-affecting into dust, Terror making grown men cry and run to their mommies... I don't think they would be too hard to come up with. |

Unfortunately, as fourth addition is drawing to a close and there has not been that much coverage for Eberron, I doubt there will be any new PPs for us, so most of us will have to make do with homebrew. Personally I think in addition to new paragon paths there should be more aberrant marks. For example in my campaign, one of the major characters connected to House Tanarkan has a powerful Dragonmark that allows him to rewrite peoples memories. While this kind of power is something that should NEVER come into the posession of the PC's- (Hi King Boranel, I'm your long lost son who you dote on, can I borrow the army for a bit?)-but It would be nice to see some variety in the marks used by House Tanarkan. How about a general PP and a general use ED for aberrants similar to the Heir of Siberys epic destiny? Having a group of standard abilities plus a couple of powers to choose from based on the nature of the mark. Maybe a psychic attack for those with the mark of madness or a poison attack for a mark of corruption. Anyway, there's my two cents. |

If you want an NPC to have a mind-rewriting aberrant dragonmark power, all you need to do is invent one and put it into their statblock. Hell, I sorta even do this for my 3.5 campaign. I wanted an aberrant marked NPC to have a "mark of decay", so I gave him the delver's corrosive touch ability. It doesn't matter to me that PCs can't get this power. The guy is an NPC and a combat encounter, and I'm free to make stuff up to make the fight more interesting. |
