This is more of a rant and didn't know where to post it. But i do have questions.

(questions) Are we going to be seeing articles/or at least sneak peeks this month on Eberron and if at all?
I'm curious as to how the dragonmarks come into play as well as if they made the warforge proper or kept the monster manul one. .....

Has anyone heard anything as to why they are putting them out in two different months? I don't remember them doing that with the last setting.

now the rant.....( you can stop reading here).

WHY do i have to wait two months to get my Campaign setting book? Why?
Give it to me when you give me the players guide. I can't wait that long you greedy monkeys. Give me my fix. I've gots to have my drug!!! I've waited a year. Isn't that long enough???????

Because they released the FR Campaign book first and people complained they wanted the rules for characters NOW!

I guess seeing as players outnumber DMs they yell louder.

Maybe next year they'll release the campaign books in the same month.

Hear.

No. I am going to go with what Nived said, though.

They actually did. As Nived said it was CG before PG.

Isn't that long enough???????

We could say the same thing about PHB3 or MM3 or . It sounds like you were a 3.5e Eberron fan so at least you have the 3.5e ECG (or at least know someone who does). I'm stuck with nothing (well, nothing except Secrets of Xen'drik and City of Stormreach :P)!

Really, I didn't now that was why.

How can you live with that!

My first contact with Eberron was when I went into a mad rampage and purchesed as many books about D&D dragons I could (don't ask), and purchesed Dragons of Eberron. Once I got the taste I needed more. So I bought the ECG. All hail Eberron!

ONE OF US! ONE OF US! WE ACCEPT YOU!

Anyway... It would be less than two months now right? For the PG at least, anyone know the specific street date so I know what Tuesday to sweep around the local bookstores?

I honestly can't decide if I should be extatic or furious about them releasing the PG first. I've lived just fine without the Artificer for the last year, but I believe I might actually die to know the campaign setting details. ... But again, part of that is knowing how Dragonmarks will work (I don't mean generally, because I know that. I want to know specifically, as in, I need the rules yesterday.)

In other words, I'm with the OP. They didn't make us wait for months between the PHB, DMG, and MM for 4E. I thought giving us DM and Player supplements at the same time was part of 4E philosophy. Splat books being spread out is fine. Even with PHB's we knew it would be a year between. But this extra month between the Eberron books just feels superfluous. Not that they're gonna change it, but I do hope someone throws a pie at the designers at GenCon, or trips one of them, or spits in their lunch ... you know, that sort of thing ... for making us wait for no good reason.

Lord Dreadman

Tuesday, Jun 16. It probably won't be available in book stores until about one week later, though.

Indeed. It all really depends on what kind of DM you are. Do you like the rules, or the history? Personally I'm one for the history and lore. Lots of people can live perfectly well without the rules. The base of a RPG is the roleplaying.

The original plan was to release the DMG, MM, and PHB separatly, thankfully they were eventually persuaded to release them at once. For us though its a little late.

Ah well, such is life. Anyway it seems that Eberron might get some love this month in the MM2, over on the D&D facebook page and Ain't it Cool News they released some preview images and stats for some more Warforged monsters, liked the art, even had that classic warforged wizard that keeps popping up in art.

dido. though i had my heart set on the goodies in the ECG, i'll take the changeling, artificer, kalashtar, and dragonmarks and all the lore and extra info that comes with it.(shrug) you have to be flexable and take what you can.

The EPG is going to decide what way they use the dragonborn and tiefling. And that is good, rules for dragonmarks is always a nice thing. Other than that I really don't "need" anything else. Although the increased focus on Noir is going to help a bit with my games. Because that I have no clear grasp on how to integrate atm.

I've lived just fine without the Artificer for the last year...

Why? The Artificer playtest has been available since July last year (and issue 365 doesn't require membership to download).

It's only half the class, and some of the powers and features might be different in the final version, but it's worth looking at.

I can wait. I fully expected an August/September release like with Forgotten Realms, so having it be June/July instead means the last of 'em is releasing a full month ahead of when I expected the first of 'em to drop.
