| #1jedi123Apr 30, 2012 21:48:20 | What is a good stand in for Sorcerer Kings in Eberron? I was thinking having him be a quorforged. The problem comes with I'm wanting to start the campaign with the adventure provided in the campaign book, and I'm not sure how to place him in the begining section. Any help would be appreciated. |

The backstory of his transport from Xen'drik, how he spend a decade or two in storage in the university of Sharn and how one of the other PCs accidentally activated him does not need to be part of the actual adventure. My advice, unless you actually want to use the origin of the pact in future adventures (or even as part of the campaign overall plot), don't spend too much thought on it especially this early on in a campaign. Also be sure to check with your player. Most players never contemplate the origin of the power of a warlock much, let alone the potential consequences, preferring to keep it to the background. |

They were empty shells meant to be controlled by Quori Docents of the previous age. If I were to have a Warforged warlock in my party, I'd have him get his powers from the Lord of Blades. Or maybe the PC was once helping to construct the Becoming God, gathering parts from across Eberron and in the process stumbled across some artifact that really did seem to bring the Becoming God to life. Maybe he's still looking for the proper pieces at the behest of some consciousness he awoke and that's what he's doing at the beginning of the campaign. |

The docent was going to have hels another quori rebel. I haven't talked to the player, but hat I'm going to suggest is: An angent of the chamber infiltrated a creation forge and created the pc, who gains his powers from a magic link to a member of the chamber. Or something similar. |

Oh yeah I know, but I'm opperating under the assumption a non marked individual might be able to influence somethings...change the blue prints or add a little magic mojo or something similar. |
