So i have say that it is a key to some think bigger but i real do not know what it is. i know i would like to have it something like the Draconic Prophecy were it is very powerful and people follow it but i do you guys have any ideals. The average person know nothing of the prophecy. Most of the people that know about it, and/or even attempt to study it are scholarly people, and dragons. I would need to know how the group found out about the power, and why they are trying to find to come up with any ideas. |
| #3elrodianJun 01, 2008 14:55:28 | O.k. i will post it here and i have a link as well (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1034512) The there are 4 people (so far) the three heirs are: Aldric d'Cannith (Artificer), Istaren d'Lyrandar (sorceress), Alexandria d'Phiarlan(Wizard) and Shard (pisforged). Now as said in the link: They are sent to the Silver forest my Queen Aurala ir'Wynarn to go look at ruins found in the Forest. They are sent becaues the Thranes gave them the rights ot the ruins becaues it is a palace of a magelord,a female elf, that ruled Thaliost . (they also gave it up becaues they could not get past the traps to get in.) At this time Queen Diani ir'Wynarn proclaims northern Thrane as it's own state. The lord looking over the ruins, take the party to Silvercliff castle. When they get there the Queen wants them to help her get a powerful object that the Magelord had but it is not in her palace. Queen Aurala ir'Wynarn gives them the O.K. hopeing that it would help her get some power and if Queen Diani get her power then she might give Thaliost back to her as a "Thank you" so were i am at now is that they have gotten all of the books and object in the ruin. Then they go back to fairhaven so they can do resarch ( becaues the jourals that they have, which is only and little becaues she lift as fast as she with most of her work, is in a code) and see if any one is trying to make the object itself. They find out that she when to Cyre becues she was run form the armys of Karrn. They also find out that the magelord made the object and it is a key to a power but it does not say. Then they fly to New Cyre to see if they have any records about her. They find that she lived in Metrol and then left when Galifar came in power. They also find out that she left almost every thing in the city and it is in the royal vault. They are now flying to Metrol. Hope that will help. If you need more info on the people it is in a link in my Signature. :D :D :D :D :D :D |
| #4wraithstrikeJun 01, 2008 15:55:47 | O.k. i will post it here and i have a link as well (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1034512) Queen Diani has no real power unless your campaign gives her power. I don't know how likely your players are to call you out on such things, but if I don't my players certain things they will call me out on it. The lord looking over the ruins, take the party to Silvercliff castle. When they get there the Queen wants them to help her get a powerful object that the Magelord had but it is not in her palace. Queen Aurala ir'Wynarn gives them the O.K. hoping that it would help her get some power and if Queen Diani get her power then she might give Thaliost back to her as a "Thank you" I understand this as saying they got all the books, but dont have sufficient means to research because the magelord took most of the books and it is in a code. She had to go to Cyre to flee the Karnnathi army They also find out that the magelord made the object and it is a key to a power but it does not say. Then they fly to New Cyre to see if they have any records about her. They find that she lived in Metrol and then left when Galifar came in power. They also find out that she left almost every thing in the city and it is in the royal vault. They are now flying to Metrol. They are going to Cyre to see if any records survived the day of mourning. Would that be correct? So what I have is Queen A wants to help Queen D get her power, and in return Queen D will give Queen A Thoalist in exchange for the item. They went to the ruins and got the object, but the info was limited. Now they have to go to Cyre to try to find more info. I dont see how the phrophecy thing fits in, but if you really want to use it the records that are found in Cyre could mention the name of another NPC who specializes in hidden things. The NPC could have been the one to have given the magelord the information on how to make the artifact. You could also use the the whisper rock in Aundair. I had forgotten about it(the whisper rock), but it does give information on things. Book of Five nations pg 33 |
| #5elrodianJun 02, 2008 15:53:14 | ok so i do not know if you looked at the like but i will say it her. Queen D is part of The Aurum (in the story) so she has that going for her and she has the nobles and other people wanting her back in control. The Silver forest is in Thrane (more than half of it). It is in the Five nations book. i do not know the page becues i do not have the book with be. Also the object is not in the ruin and so they are they have to find it but you got that becues i made a spelling mistake. Now second post say "she" That is the Magelord and the reasech they are doing is on the book that she left behide. Now the phrophecy thing fits in is they "find out later" is that the object was made to help find the phrophecy/code. Now alot of your question came up becaues of my mistake so i am real srry that happen and that idea is really good. Thank you for it |
| #6famoth83Jun 02, 2008 18:54:13 | ...given the goals of the Aurum, I’d be surprised that they would back royalty. Though I guess they might find a monarchy a better alternative to a theocracy. That aside... The draconic prophecy is fragmented, shattered. It’s been fulfilling itself haphazardly since the dawn of creation in Eberron, not necessarily in the order the original design intended. At least in my interpretation; this is beside the point. The point is that you don’t need this artifact to be tied to something other then the draconic prophecy. You can just have it tied to a fragment of the draconic prophecy. No reason to complicate it more then you need to, and the draconic prophecy is complicated enough as is. Now, if you insist to have this artifact connected to something other then the Draconic Prophecy, there was an elven prophecy mentioned in The Magic of Eberron. Just briefly, and was mostly mentioned as a theorized reason for the conflict between the dragons and elves due to the elven prophecy being in conflict with the draconic prophecy. If it is the reason, or even exists, is up to the individual Dungeon Master. The elven prophecy is mostly a concern as an example creating your own prophecy, which is honestly your only option no matter what you choose since none of these prophecies are written out in their whole. If the prophecy you create is just a fragment of the draconic prophecy, then remember the Circle as you go onto the more intensive design aspects of your campaign. If it isn’t a part of the draconic prophecy, you have to decide if your prophecy is just separate of the draconic prophecy or opposes the draconic prophecy. If it is just separate, then you don’t even need to bother involving the Circle as possible behind the scene allies/adversaries of your heroes. If it against the draconic prophecy... then it’ll be getting the attention of dragons outside the Circle. The dragons take their prophecy seriously. In Eberron, anything involving the draconic prophecy has their attention if not their involvement, and The Magic of Eberron wasn’t unjustified in suggesting that anything that opposes the draconic prophecy would oppose by the dragons. Ultimately it is your campaign. This is just two cents. |
| #7elrodianJun 02, 2008 19:18:10 | That also real helped. i would love to do the elven prophecy but i have a priest of the Dragon of ABove that have have to get in to the story. so i will get it worked out but thanks for the Two cents.:D :D ![]() |
| #8dread_lordJun 03, 2008 3:37:42 | I think that any and all prophecy is part of the Dragon Prophecy. The "lesser" races just aren't able to connect the small fragments to the larger picture. If a priestess has a vision that a returning son will be king of Cyre or if the players hear from the Whisper Rock that doom will befall the first person to enter the Blacken Scare, or 20 ft tall dragon marks foretell the fall of the last of the goblins these aren't something that the people of Eberron can use to see the final fate of the world like the dragons are trying to do. |
