1) Can I opt to graft only one warforged arm, or leg, instead of both, at half the gp cost and donor cost ?

2) Can I use warforged components while having warforged grafts ?

Thanks in advance

I may not be the person to give an answer since I'm not very "crunch" oriented player, but I just hate seeing threads with no replies.

First question - I don't think you'll find it in canon, but it makes sense you could graft only one of your arms at half cost. Just remember the graft's abilitys only work in that one arm.
Legs are trickier, it doesn't make a lot of sense grafting only one leg leaving the other untouched. So unless this is some graft that has a very specific effect, one that can be accomplished without two legs, I'd say feet grafts are all or none.

Second question - Sure, why not? as long as the component is attached to graft, there's no reason it wouldn't work. I think even the books say so. Check out the grafts in FoE, the answer is probably there.

No, because they are not priced per arm, but by the bonuses they grant. Warforged arms grant a Slam attack. If you only have one warforged arm, you can still make a slam with it, so you have not lost any ability. Hence, you would not get any reduction in price. Same with the legs, there is no way to cut the bonus in half, so there would be no reduction in price by doing so.

If you only want one, then just describe it as one instead of two.
2) Can I use warforged components while having warforged grafts ?

No, nothing in the description says you can do that, so you can't. It would cost quite a bit more if you gained that ability.

If you want cheap warforged parts that let you use components, take levels in Renegade Mastermaker.

Actually Edy, I checked the FoE grafts again; And while what you said about the one arm graft seems more logical then my answer, the mighty arms entry states: "Mighty arms can be fitted with warforged components, such as battlefists, that attach to the hand or arm".

This could be something specific for the mighty arms, but it makes more sense that if you completely replaced an organ with warforged parts, you could use those parts just like a warforged.

You mean it's THAT complicated to halve the construction price, the market price, the donor requirements and the associated bonuses and penalties ?

Well, it states the same for the legs as well, so i guess I missed that part. Thanks for the info.

And just how exactly do you plan to halve the bonuses when the bonus is "You get a slam attack"?

But yeah, I did overlook where it said you could use components with that limb. But again, the mighty arm bonus is getting a slam attack, and the ability to use use things like a battlefist, which you can only get the benefit of one from anyway.

Still no reason to cut the cost when you still haven't cut the effects.

Warforged have only one slam anyway, so no problem here, but I can go with "you do not a DR bonus since you do not have a complete graft."

No, because .....

Keep in mind that despite what he thinks and how he presents himself, Edymnion is not the one who decides these things. He has yet to learn that there are other opinions in the world other than his. Childish I know, but there you are. Take nothing he says as a fact unless you choose to...again, despite the way he presents his answers, he is far from an authority.
There is nothing in the books that says you can get half of a 'limb set' graft, so thats something you will have to work out with your DM in terms of price and effects.
Suggestions:
The slam does a die code less damage
You have a penalty to hit with it
A successful critical on you causes it to sieze up
Etc...

Because, as we all know, the final decision is in the hands of the DM. Which means if we don't take the initiative to answer with our own opinions based on our own experience with the game, there is no point in ever asking any question on these boards at all, because all answers would be either "Yes, you can do anything you want" or "Ask your DM". Both of which are utterly useless and completely unhelpful.

There is a universe of difference between what you are describing here and what you did, and do. You present your opinions as fact, not one person's perspective. And when a poster obviously doesnt know where to find an answer themselves, presenting your answer this way misconstrues and misrepresents the truth, at best. its dishonest and manipulative at worst. Own your opinions without trying to pass them off as fact, because they arent. Let them stand or fall on their own merit, not pretending to borrow legitimacy from offical sources by the way you state things.
