This is a question in relation above, I'm going over the quick and dirty way the Aurum operates pretty soon (the Aurum are the bad guys).
So I have a question -- looking for Opinions as well as the "Last Word" on this dragonmarked house. In Dragonmarked Houses, not a lot of details were put into each house, but I need to come up with these petty details.
In how many dwarf families did the Mark of Warding appear? How many of these dwarves practiced gold smithing? (re: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HdmA3vPbSU as to why I'm asking). When, exactly in terms of metallic Ages (Bronze, and iron) did this happen?
I'm pretty sure there is no canon answer for any of that.
However given that the mark only developed 2500 years ago, and there is no indication that the Dhakaani didn't have iron at that time, I am going to suggest it developed during the iron age.
Also, given that the families are allied, it would not matter how many were goldsmiths initially - the rest would soon turn to goldsmithing (or at least lending), or to activities that supported those who were.
Neato. 2,500 years before, and since Eberron is like around 1850, then yes, age of Iron.
