#1 ranadiel Jun 16, 2009 15:36:17	Hi there, I just got the EPG a couple of hours ago and I wanted to check on something regarding Stormreach. In the EPG write up it mentions that in Stormreach has half-giant and thri-kreen among its members. In 3.X was this ever specifically mentioned?
#2 Nived Jun 16, 2009 15:51:41	Yes it was, there were a couple of Half Giant NPCs, mostly slaves from the Rediaran city of Dal Quat (don't have book in front of me think that was the name) that have escaped. Tri-kreen are around in small numbers. Curiously CoStormreach mentions that one of the layers of civilization (there are around ten) that have been built in the same location as Stormreach was a Tri-kreen city. Unlike every other layer there is no evidence of calamity or destruction that led to its downfall, its like it was just abandoned overnight. Tri-kreen of today either don't know why or, as was heavily implied simply refuse to tell anyone why their city there was abandoned.
#3 tallric_kruush Jun 16, 2009 15:57:59	I'm also away from my books, but I'm nearly certain of two things: 1) The Riedran city Nived mentioned is Dar Qat. & 2) Stormreach's population is around 11,600. [Which I mistakenly read into your question, some how. ] That number stuck in my head, for one reason or another. I can't give demographic breakdowns or the like, beyond acknowledging and reiterating some of what Nived already addressed. Stormreach is a city upon a city upon a city.... with many cultures in its past (and present, for that matter).

#7 xi_mao Jun 16, 2009 22:07:15	Half-Giants, along with many other races, likely still exist, even if we have no stats for them at this time. Just because it's an edition change, doesn't mean we start from scratch.

#11 Gilo Jun 17, 2009 5:10:43	I'm confused I don't have the EPG yet (is it me - or is online book shipment dates have become very tentative and unreliable lately ). But didn't the EPG say: "Goliaths - Originate from Xen'drik, but left when the giants rose to power". Doesn't eliminates them as Stormreach half-giant? - I'm confused too.

The full sentence reads: No single race holds a clear majority here; humans, dwarves, halflings, elves, half-elves, and changelings walk side by side with half-giants, goliaths, ogres, drow, and thri-kreen, a humanoid insectlike race.
