| #2kelvinaw273Jun 17, 2008 11:58:24 | It's never really clear, but given how a shifter can gain other shifter traits, I think they are all mixed in. Bloodlines may have dominant traits, but no more than a human family may have blonde hair, or white freckles etc. |
| #3tiwaztyrsfistJun 17, 2008 16:27:00 | Yes, particularly if you use Eberron's red-headed stepchild, Races of Eberron, you definately have to work on the assumption that they are decended from intermingling lycanthropes. Swiftwing (Can glide while shifting) with [Feat] Second Shifter Trait: Gorebrute (you sprout horns usable for making a gore attack when you charge), definitively says that you have many very different ancestors. |

| #5dsivisJun 21, 2008 12:57:25 | I LIKED Races of Eberron! Fussing aside, yes, the different shifter traits are generally intermixed in the Setting As Written. It's implied that the different traits sometimes get pushed or destined into different roles in society - Dreamsight shifters almost inevitably wind up druids, longstriders are often scouts, etc. Then again, that's kinda practical when your people are even more survival-conscious than the norm. |
