I've been looking over the Red Hand of Doom adventure and wanted to place it in Darguun with rival clans of hobgoblins.  The module suggests placing near New Cyre, but measuring Elsir Vale it's actually pretty close to the size of Marguul Pass and how much more dramatic would it be if Dennovar was actually Sterngate in Breland?  It becomes an international disaster waiting to happen.

Here's the modified map (flipped to be the right orientation) including the Ghaal River and the Orien traderoad.

So I've been translating all cities and towns to Darguul populations, somewhere around (81% goblinoids (80% hobgoblins, 12% goblins, 8% bugbears), 8% human, 5% gnome, 3% dwarf, 2% halfling, 1% other) as well as religions to the Dark Six with some Dol Dorn and other Sovereign Host influence as mandated by Lhesh Haruuc.

Also I think the horde would be the Kalkor bubears of the mountains spurred on by a hobgoblin Cult of the Dragon Below who recently uncovered a connection to Xoriat (at the "Fane of Tiamat").  So I'm also working on transferring all the dragon inspired enemies to aberrations, dolgaunts, dolgrims, etc.

My question is what to do about the Ghostlord.  I guess I could make him a hobgoblin or past Cyran/Brelish citizen of the area.  But if I remove that chapter and start from scratch, what do you think would fit there?

Any ideas?  Any other thoughts?  I haven't really looked over Scales of War, but are there things there I can mine for ideas?
