Apr 02, 2008 11:24:13 if u are Reincarnated do your heritage feats follow u in the Reincarnation? like the Illithid Heritage and Illithid Grapple, when you are Reincarnated do u still have your tenticals? or being Reincarnated into a new body cancel out the heritage feat since they are blood line feats and you no longer have the blood in you?

Apr 02, 2008 17:33:32 Well based on this article here when you reincarnate you keep your dragonmark. A mark bound to you by blood, and soul apparently. I don't know the feats in question myself, I just found something that seems similar and might help finding a solution to the problem.

Apr 02, 2008 17:49:43 i guess that helps a bit but heritage feats are bloodline feats right? so do they not transfer over? and if they dont can u get feats to replace them? or just loose the feats?

Apr 02, 2008 18:20:17 Well I am no rules expert, but in my campaigns you would get new feats instead if you no longer could meet the prerequisites for them. But I play with the house rule that you will get an aberrant mark when you reincarnate and have a mark (unless you reincarnate as the same thing you were).

Others on out here on the board are of the opinion that if you reincarnate you keep the feet, and cannot use it until you meet the prerequisites once more.

Yeah, by the rules, you keep your feats, but you can't use them if you lose prereqs (so a Str 3 Pixie that used to be a half orc fighter won't be able to use Power Attack anymore, unless they get magic items and the like to boost their strength back to 13+).

I'm not familiar with the heritage feats, do they have specific racial restrictions?
If not, then they will keep that heritage when they reincarnate, since it is a feat.

no not by race most of the time by class. like draconic heritages u must be a lvl 1 sorcerer, same with celestial heritage. illithid heritage only requires u to have a power point and can be taken at any lvl.

Well then, since you keep your previous levels when reincarnating, you would still meet the prereqs for the feats, so you would still have them. So yes, your reincarnated whatever sorcerer would still have it's draconic heritage, regardless of what it reincarnated into. Nothing says lovin like a draconic heritage sorcerer badger!
