When I was in high school I read a novel called "This Perfect Day" by Ira Levin (the author of "Rosemary's Baby"), published in 1970, which is the story of one man's attempt to throw off the shackles of a perfectly regimented dystopian society much like the ones also depicted in "1984" and "Brave New World." But the society depicted in "This Perfect Day" was very similar to Riedra, even down to the existence of resistance groups like the Broken Throne that simply enjoyed trying to explore the remnants of the pre-Unity culture. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever read the novel and whether it had any influence on the shaping of Riedran society? Incidentally, for anyone running an anti-Inspired campaign, the novel offers a fantastic plot that could be adapted into a campaign in Sarlona focused on restoring freedom to the people of Riedra.
