Got it monday. Sadly, I didn't find my docents in it.:D

They're outlined in Dragon 364, so I guess they didn't want to waste pagespace mentioning them again (although they still redid some other components like the armblade and crossbow, etc.).

Got mine.

Also, to the gent who hasn't had theirs shipped from Amazon yet...Amazon seems to have a policy that they won't deliver pre-orders on time if you select super-saver shipping. They don't tell you this, but I learned it the hard way when my copy of Ghostbusters: The Videogame didn't arrive on Tuesday. Called customer service who informed me that they "Never Promised" to deliver my orders by the release date. Needless to say I canceled my Order of Ghostbusters the game and my special edition Batman:Arkham Asylum game from Amazon, then went to Gamestop to buy/reserve games there.

Amazon used to be a good company...

I was waiting at the store when they opened the doors on release day--and the EPG is my first ever Eberron purchase. I've been running homebrews for a good few years after running a lot of FR games in 2e.

Instant convert. I LOVE the setting more than any other I have ever seen.

As an aside:

It's awesome seeing so many developers/writers being excited about their work. Between the WotC blog posts, Hellcow's posts on these forums, and Ari making an appearance here, everyone involved with the 4e work seems to really be loving what they've been putting out--and with good reason. Well done, sirs.

I got mine right on release date, as well, from Amazon.com. I think that has more to do with my Amazon Prime membership, though, than the rapid service of the USPS and/or UPS.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but this Eberron world map is the best looking map (of any sort) that I've ever seen. Lee really brought the goods.

This is so good, I'd love to see it as one of those giant vinyl maps, as was released with Ptolus. I'd be more than willing to invest some $ in a giant vinyl map of my favorite campaign setting. I probably need to buy that Ptolus map, too, now that I'm thinking about it...

There's a giant vinyl map of Eberron?!

Sadly, no. I said that if there were such a thing, I'd gladly spend my hard-earned $ buying it.

What is this Ptolus?

Probably the single greatest gaming product of all time. Nearly 700 pages of gaming goodness in the main book, plus over 700+ of additional content (maps, handouts, CD-rom... you name it, and Ptolus has it).

It is the most attractive supplement I've ever held, and has by far the best layout and utility features I've seen in any book. It also comes loaded with enough pre-made adventures to run more than one 1st-20th level campaigns. It's freaking EPIC!

It was created by Monte Cook. Yeah, that Monte Cook. It uses 3.5E rules, and was actually the setting where 3E was born. I give it my highest possible recommendation. It's the best money I've ever spent on a gaming product. You can read more in the Ptolus FAQ.

I would love to see a giant vinyl map of the new map of Eberron. :D

As would I, though I doubt it would ever happen.

This is my EPG. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My EPG is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

My EPG, without me, is useless. Without my EPG, I am useless. I must reference my EPG true. I must read it faster than my enemy who is trying to be a rules lawyer. I must get to the index before he gets to it. I will...

My EPG and myself know that what counts in this war are not the action points we spend, the number of enemies we bloodied, nor the healing surges we spent. We know that it is the correct pronunciation of Cyre that counts. We will say SEAR-ee...

My EPG is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its chapters, its sidebars, its feats and its paragon paths. I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage as I will ever guard my legs, my arms, my eyes and my heart against damage. I will keep my EPG smudge-free and bookmarked. We will become part of each other. We will...

Before the Flame, I swear this creed. My EPG and myself are the defenders of the Five Nations. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.

So be it, until victory is Galifar's and there is no enemy, but peace!

With warmest regards to all Marines past and present, especially those that roll d20s. Semper Fi.

I got mine on Thursday, I've been to busy reading it and writing my next adventure to actually post.

I was worried about the 4e dragonmarks, but I like what they've done with them. Well, the normal ones. Not as fond of the Abberant marks... Oh well.

Maybe I'll home brew some Abberant marks more to my liking...
