Some of the ones with names has information available as to what they used to be used for. Have any of you made up/edited information for any of these such as Khraal in Darguun or the unnamed ruin in Breland to the north of Moonwatch and to the east of Shadowlock keep? |

Hellcow I know there are a few things you don't about 4E Eberron since it is a good distance away, but do you know what will and will not be expanded on. I dont need details, just a yes or no, as to what things will get more detail. If I have two years I might as well finish the fluff. I am almost done expect for a few things that I am waiting to find out if WoTC will cover or not. |

I'm not Keith, obviously, but I think its a pretty safe answer to say "No, these areas will not be detailed". Remember, we're only going to get 2 lousy books for 4e Eberron, the ECS and the Player's Guide. When they effectively have to cover the entire setting for fourth edition, it seems *HIGHLY* unlikely that small ruins that weren't touched on when we had 13 books will get any information when we only have 2. Pretty sure we're on our own on this one. |

Basically, what Edymnion seems to be saying is that you, as the DM, are expected to do what DM's used to be expected to do all the time. The company gives you the books that form the core of the world, and you fill in the fluff. From what I can tell, Edymnion does not like this idea, but I do. As I see it this is a good thing. I realized that near the end of 3.5 I was so dependent on fluff from WoTC to fill in the blanks that I would struggle to come up with new and creative ides. Now I will be forced to have an imagination again and stress my views of Eberron in the games, instead of waiting on the next book to fill in a blank. These ruins are a great example and it will allow me to sit down and really think up something good. I have a one shot game planned thanks to this thread now in which we all play as a part of the Goblin nation of old on the day the kingdom fell. Apocolyptic feel and all so that we can slide right into the new edition without having to explain much. |

Actually, I like that very much at the scale we're talking about. My general bitterness is that, for all intents and purposes, we won't be getting any more Eberron books. I like having the big picture filled in, and leaving the details to us. But, I do like having those big pictures, such as the general way Breland works, or the motivation behind the Lord of Blades. How those things get used I like being up to me. |
