Running published adventures in Eberron

Jul 17, 2009 19:25:44 I made a similar post in answer to another thread in the Eberron Lore forum, but I realize this is really the more appropriate place for such an inquiry.

Has anyone run the other published WotC adventures beyond Keep on the Shadowfell (Thunderspire Labyrinth, Pyramid of Dreams, etc.)? How have you converted these adventures? What changes did you make to the overarching story, if any, to link them together? Sadly, WotC didn't publish conversions for these adventures as it did for KotS, and I can use some additional ideas to work into my own campaign.

I do know off-hand that they progressively get more into the Orcus vs. The Raven Queen thing, and that at one point you actually speak with the Raven Queen herself.

...Obviously this does not fit too well with Eberron. You'd need to do some heavy heavy modification.

My suggestion would be to have Katashka, The Gatekeeper and his avatar/prakhutu Kyuss (from Open Grave) replace Orcus and Dorsain.

As for the Raven Queen, remove the prescence of any actual god from the adventures, and instead have a council of powerful Angels residing in Dolurrh that ferverently believe themselves to be the mouthpieces of The Keeper, but using the ancient giant interpretation of The Keeper so that he's more of a neutral death god unjustly feared by humans.
