Secret Languages in Eberron?

Jul 03, 2011 12:54:06 Hey everyone, I'm currently submitting a Sivis heir character for a PbP and I have aspirations to master every language known to the inhabitants of Eberron. Currently, my Scholar theme gets me all the ones in the PHB or Rules Compendium. I'm guessing I'll have to use my Mark of Scribing feat to obtain the Eberron-specific languages (Argon, Riedran, Quori). But I'm wondering if Eberron has secret languages as well. I don't see why something like Thieves' Cant or that Merc language wouldn't exist in Eberron, but do Druids have a secret language still? And are there other secret languages specific to Eberron?

Just curious. It may give my character something to work for. Thanks in advance!

Jul 03, 2011 15:26:17 Just checking: Did you read (ECG p.228-229) about house Sivis's Tasker's Dream: their aim and their artificial Stonespeech language? It seem very in-line with your character

Oh, it's in the 4th edition one.

Sivis Stonespeech its a compressed language for message Sending.
Tasker's Dream are a think tank that deals with developing new magical linguistic communication.

Druidic is still a language in Eberron. Some speculate it is the language of Eberron itself.
