#1 nlogue Apr 03, 2008 3:01:19	Hey everyone! So I am thinking of doing a very Eberron friendly project for my new design studio Sinister Adventures. The Indulgences I have up there are pretty good accompaniments to any one playing in Stormreach, but I am looking for another idea that could convert easily to Eberron. Anyone have any good ideas? #2 Amaril Apr 03, 2008 8:29:19	Hmm... Something covering surviving an expedition into a supernaturally infused wasteland would be interesting. I'm thinking more about the Demon Wastes than the Mournland. A nation of monstrous humanoids (Droamm) would be interesting as well.

The Frostfire Path to Bhaarel or somesuch. Rock! Not a bad choice Amaril.
#4 AvonRekaes Apr 03, 2008 11:04:58	Well, having perused your new website and it's awesome design, I think something dealing with nightmares and dreamscapes might fit with your "sinister" project. And such things are easily used in Eberron because of Dal Quor (or even Xoriat if you go more madness that dreams).

#8 Amaril Apr 03, 2008 14:22:37	Also, a wasteland book would rock! Yeah, it strikes me as odd that such a common theme in fantasy settings can be omitted as a topic for a sourcebook. Then again, it's most likely because such regions are unique to the setting rather than being a general climate.

#12 nlogue Apr 06, 2008 15:57:20	I can't help but feel like that's been overdone lately. Oh trust me...this will be VERY different. A lot of the inspiration for Razor Coast is drawn from Hawaiian and Indonesian Mythos, blended with the pirates of the Atlantic coast of America (Blackbeard...to whom I am dubiously related by vile blood, at least that's what some folks say).
#13 dragonmarkshadow Apr 06, 2008 16:23:45	I like to have a more "cyber punk" fell to it,like having the PCs in the middle of a gang war, selling items on the black market,doing odd jobs to pay rent to a mob boss that rules over the ghetto where they live, conspiracy's and espionage in the red light district. kind of like a Grand Theft Auto if you will, I like a more mature game and I would say Eberron is the only place to play!
#14 DanFor Apr 07, 2008 15:48:19	Nick: I purchased your first "wave" of Sinister Adventures pdfs last week. I have to say that I am extremely impressed. Kudos for your contributions to "Dragons of Eberron" and "Stormreach", too. As far as Eberron-type adventures, I have a couple of suggestions. First, the Eberron campaign that I was running stalled at epic level because I had trouble finding epic-level modules that I could retrofit to the setting. Right now, we are playing a Castles & Crusades campaign, but I promised my players some epic level Eberron adventures at some point. So, a couple of one-shot epic level adventures with daelkyr or rakshasas (or something along those lines) would definitely please my players. Second, I am a player in another Eberron game where the DM is a big psionics fan; he is using Sarlona and the Inspired for his campaign. I'm sure he would love some type of psionic-based modules/supplement material. Thanks and good luck with your new endeavor!

I was thinking something along the lines of a traitor within the Chamber who plans to take control of the Prophecy for his/her-self. Personally I don't think that Argonnessen got enough material. However I haven't bought Dragons of Eberron so I don't know what material might be in there.

I'm glad they worked out for you! more Indulgences coming next month too, including some stuff by Tim Hitchcock (co-wrote Eyes of the Lich Queen with me!) and Richard Pett (of Pathfinder and Dungeon magazine fame). I'll be chiming in there as well. As far as Epicy stuff goes you may want to check out The Ebon Shroud, its one of our upcoming Dark Vistas (scroll down past Razor Coast).

Additionally, your personal desire to use your own content -- and understandably so -- doesn't equate to a community needing yet another "Chuthulu type adventure based in a seaside town." Personally, if you're offering to create new material to unofficially cover aspects of Eberron that have yet to be covered, then I'd rather it be something that is not as readily available as material found for Freeport. On the other hand, writing such material could benefit you two-fold in that you would then have three audiences targeted -- Freeport fans, Eberron fans, and fans who mix the two, but that's not the point of your original post. You had asked for another idea aside from something that would fit with Stormreach.

I'm thinking I might need to do an Urban Sprawl Dark Vista that could be set in Sharn with ease.
