A while back I read something somewhere about a game enjoyed by the people of Droaam called (if memory serves) Six Stones. Seven competitors enter an arena with a basilisk, and when it's all done you have one victor and six stones. Trouble is, I can't remember where the hell I read about it! It's not an important question, but it's gnawing at me. Can anyone give me a hand, here? Thanks.

I believe it's in Sharn: City of Towers.

I've totally used games of Six Stones in my campaign. I made up a bunch of stuff about the Hags sending criminals convicted of capital crimes to games of Six Stones in Graywall, where there is a huge arena built in the shape of a cockatrice's skull that the minflayer Governor of the city likes to watch. In order to get pardoned you have to win 3 games, dedicating one to each of the Hags. To a cheering crowd, every contestant is demanded to answer three questions:

WHAT IS YOUR NAME?
WHAT WAS YOUR CRIME?
WHO DO YOU FIGHT FOR?

Of course there is all sorts of betting going on, so taking a dive (if you have friends able to fix you later) can be extremely profitable, if extremely risky.
