As the title says, I have some questions about Changelings, based on vague memories of their chapter in Races of Eberron. Firstly, I vaguely recall reading that Changelings are born as asexual beings, but develop a true gender (though they can still swap via their change shape ability) as part of their maturation process. Is this true? If it is, at what age does a Changeling obtain its true/birth gender? And is it at all predictable whether they will become boys or girls? Secondly, I recall that the Changelings had three 'racial philosophies', and that one was focused on having as many identities as possible while the other avowed abstinence from using their shapeshifting. What was the third philosophy? Finally, and kind of blending into the second question, what where the names of the three philosophies and what were their basic principals/fundamentals? |

Passer: They're constantly changing shape, becoming whomever fits the moment and the situation and then discarding the disguise moments later. Becomer: They're all about hiding their changeling nature. They're the people who maintain the shape shape for years on end. You'd never know a Becomer as a changeling. Reality Seeker: Find the Perfect Form and they're anti-deception (YMMV) Cheers! |

Because I was sure that I read this in Races of Eberron, and if I'm not misremembering, I'm asking what age it is that they develop the appropriate biology. I thank you for telling me the philosophies though. |
