Speaking Stones, Sending Stones

Jul 27, 2009 15:03:39 What do these things look like? The ECG talks about them and what they're used for, but I have no clue of what they look like or how the work.

It, uh, may be important in our upcoming "It's Shiftkitty's birthday, so let's let her be a player again after 26 years" game in which we've been told to be on Cyberpunk footing.

Jul 27, 2009 15:46:58 I'm away from my books, but Eyes of the Lich Queen uses consumable sending stone magic items that are made by House Sivis and are little pieces of stone carved in the shape of a conch shell.

I don't remember where, but I seem to recall Speaking Stones being marble busts of distinquished looking gnomes, whos mouths move when delivering a message.

I wonder if the lawn gnomes on my parents' yard are secretly spying stones for House Sivis. What a neat and scary idea!

Each fist-sized round stone bears a Dwarven rune that translates as “Speak.”

If you want to Eberronise that particular item (you've got speaking stones and sending stones in the thread title) changing the rune to be an elven one would be a simple fluff change.
