Of course, there's no real need to change the story, but with a new edition comes new statistics. I've updated the White Spider, now a level 26 solo controller, and Dharvos and Araknos will arrive some time over the next couple of months. Comments and suggestions are always appreciated, so let me know what you think! :D |

I have used Dharvos' organisation, the Veiled Fang, in my games as one of a few organisations fighting over various Prophecy related events. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to have the Spider Lords appear directly, although that's just because I haven't played an epic level game in Eberron yet! I do have plans to introduce Araknos to one of my games, too. I shouldn't say much about that, though, in case any of the players come snooping around! |

But you really shouldn't be asking Trolls that quistion, he didn't create the idea. Although he as heavly invested in the Spider Lords so he should know, I think. |

It's been about 4 or 5 years since we developed the story so I'm not 100% sure, but when Polt came to me with the initial idea I think they were already spiders. Still, here are some of the reasons I think spiders make a good choice: -The symbolism of webs works will with weaving both Prophecy and intrigue. -Much like dragons and fiends, giants spiders are a frequently reoccurring element in D&D. They deserve representation in a world without Lolth! -Spiders are secretive creatures, they hide away in nooks and crannies. That fits well with the idea that the Lords of False Presage have been hiding from the dragons for millenia. -Fear of spiders is something very primal, so they make very good ancient horrors! -Spiders are cool :D |
