| #1elrodianSep 24, 2008 11:34:51 | I would like to know if there is any info on stromhome like the info in Sharn: City of Towers |
| #2eehamburgSep 24, 2008 13:39:32 | First, it is Stormhome. Not Stromhome. Second, Sharn & Stormreach both have sourcebooks with gobs of information. Stormhome does not. It is mentioned within other sourcebooks. So, therefore, you won't be able to find information to the same level of detail or degree as you can for the others. Hope that helps. |
| #3isran_imradorSep 24, 2008 16:10:07 | Well I think there was a member here that created a few districts of Stormhome (Other than the few names a began on) MAybe you should search the old files... Isran |
| #4minoritarianSep 24, 2008 17:03:18 | I'm not one hundred percent sure but I think that if you'll see it anywhere on the boards then Fireballed Mage's thread on the dragonmarked houses will have it in detail. Absolutely brilliant in general in that thread but I don't know for certain that Stormhome is covered. edit- just checked the thread and it's not there but still go look at it anyway |
| #5rekkoSep 28, 2008 10:45:57 | And there's also a thread on the Cities of Khorvaire, but I don't know if Stormhome has been worked on, but you could always ask for help on that thread. Edit: I searched the thread, in which you are subscribed, there's some work on the 2nd page on Stormhome. |
| #6isran_imradorSep 28, 2008 11:14:36 | How can we search the archived treads? |

I'm going to start posting again this week in the other thread, but if you start writing some more about Stormhome here I'd love to contribute a little bit. I got halfway through making a map at some point so I can give that at least, as long as you tell me where you were thinking of putting everything in relation to each other. |
| #10elrodianSep 29, 2008 8:37:31 | well i think if one of us should just do it so it does not get crossed info (and your thread had got a lot more hit then my failed one) |
| #11elrodianOct 12, 2008 10:39:10 | Here is some first one. I will not put in population or money limits you can do so if you wish The Tempest The Tempest is the center of the city. It sits on a small hill which gives it some of the best views in the city. The ward was rebuild when House Lyrandar first got control of the inland. Social Class: Upper class. Character: Professional and busy with both rich estates and crowded marketplaces and House offenses. Districts: guildhall district, marketplace, wealthy residential, Financial District Businesses: specialists, high-end merchants, banking Lilly Lake District Type: wealthy residential Lilly Lake district is one of the wealthiest districts in the city. It gets it name form the water gardens in the center of the district. Most of the residents are noble families, that have live in the city for hundreds of years, and powerful dragon marked heirs. Most if not all the nobles are landed nobles with land along the northern coast of Aundair but they keep there households in there family’s estates in the city. With so many ancient noble and dragon marked families you would think there would be just little drama and you would be right. The drama in this district is far from little, with families attacking each other (not with weapons, YET), crazy love triangles, dugs, cults and much more. Aara ir’Larden (CN female Changelings Artificer 8) is a noble with a family running back to before the creation of the Stormhome. She and her family show them selves as half-elves. She is the only one left of her line with all her family dieing in the Last War. She controls one of the biggest manufacturing business in Stormhome and a the magical shop The Ticker‘s Lab. Few known that she is a changeling and fewer know that she is a leader of a cult that is based in her mason estate. She believe that she is the incarnation of the traveler herself (she see the traveler as a women). She has over 10,000 different faces and leads a cult of over 15 different changelings. Aara use there places as high rank officers in the city to gather information about anything she can get her hands on in order to create a spies network with a lot of information in its vaults. Darther ir’Canthin (LN female elf bard 8/ dragon mark heir 3) is a beautiful half-elf with a great knowledge for history, a thirst for gossip and some shadowy secret. Darther is one of the most popular person in the city and is seen as leader of city’s elite. She wholes the Moonlight Shadows gala, where you must wear darkweave or silver/white glammerweave, and if you are not invited you might as well sit at home for the whole year. But she is not what she seems, she is real a House Thuranni heir. She lives in Stromhome in order to give the Lyrandars here houses information on the principalities and to get info on the elite of Stromhome and Aundair but with out having her houses enemies. Darther is good friends and rival with Varden D’Lyrandar. There friendship is not normally to say the lest. They like to hire group to steel thing form the other which they see as games and will give the thing back to each other at the Moonlight Shadow gala. Kraken’s Hold District Type: Financial District Kraken’s Hold is the financial heart of Stromhome. It was renamed Kraken’s Hold when an airship tower, that looks like a kraken, was built in the center of the district. The district is close to the water front in order to get the trade business the docks bring to the city. Many people can find all different things in the district, form banks to small shipping and transport companies. The Sunrider Company is an independent shipping company located in Kraken’s Hold. Its headquarters is in a three store white marble building. The company is own by Yarden ir’Darven (N male human fighter 5) who has a lot of money not only shipping thing but buying some of the rarest good in on Khorvaire and selling them at his company’s headquarters. You can find herbs, texties, rare metals and gems and a few artifacts. Yarden is never to far form his company’s headquarters and he has gone as far as madeing the top level of the building his home. Lyran’s Wind District Type: guildhall district Lyran’s Wing is the base of lyrandar’s operations. Few people live here because it is fill with warehouse, offences, gardens ( for experiments) and airships docks. By day this district is full of people moving form one building to the other with papers to be signed or items needing to be sent. This district is were the house controls its many different trade routes and where it creates and test it’s new inventions. Willow Market District Type: marketplace Willow Market gets it’s name form the large willow in the center of a pond in the center of the market. You can find all sores of things in the fine shops you find here. The market see most of the people in Stromhome at one point of there stay or another because it ok the many different thing here. The Shadows of the Past: This book show is own Varden D’Lyrandar (LN male half-elf Wizard 8/ sibery dragon mark 2) who is a drgonmark heir with a sibery mark. He is one of the leading historian in the world has well as have the largest personal collection of tomes and artifacts on Khorvaire. You can find all different things in here from books form the royal courts of Thronehold to skin with primitive letters on them. Varden does not only sell book he will buy them to add to his collection. What few know or can tell is the books he sells are not real. Varden loves books and he will not sell the real one but make a copy of it himself. In the back of his shop he as an alchemy lab where he makes many different types of mundane and magical ink to write with. The ink he use to copy the his book to sell is magical and lest him tract them around the world and know if some one try to sell him something he as made he will know with out looking at it. Salven’s Garden: This herb shops as some plants form all over the world and many are rare. The owner of the shop is, Salven Tharier (CN female half-elf druid) as seen the world and on those travels have pick but many of these plants. The plants here are grown by Saven herself but no one knows how because she does not have a dragon mark or arcane skills. How she does it is that she is a druid and a member of the Greensingers sect that is located in Stromhome The Ticker‘s Lab: This show is own by Aara ir’Larden (CN female Changelings Artificer 8). The shop sells and buys both mundane and magical items. The shop is not only a business own by Aara but also a safe house for her cultist. |
