Superscripts in Eberron Campaign Setting

Hey guys,

I've been perusing my copy of the first(3.5) Eberron Campaign Setting book when I found this superscript that I couldn't figure out what it meant.  I found the same superscript multiple times throughout the chapter as well.  Here it is.

page 104 under Artifice Domain the spell True Creation is has the superscript of "X*" now I figured what * means, but the "X" still baffles me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
