I'm trying to flesh out his background but I'm not quite sure what the roaming dino-riders did during the war. Did they take a side or generally stayed neutral? I think I remember reading that they allow Karrnath to keep fortifications on the Plains, but were they always allied or did they fight at one point? Also, I'm pretty sure the halflings fight with the Valenar. |

They would ignore it anyway. Obviously, they were right in the middle between the Valenar and Karnnath and as such their hunting grounds were the center of several large scale battles and raids. From what I remember, they are hostile towards the Valenar and guarded neutral to Karnath. There were probably a few bands of halfling mercs, but personally I don't think many would actually get involved. Note that by the end of the war the halflings did unite, at least temporary, to show a single face towards the other nations during the Thronehold meetings. |

The Valenar would raid them at times. Either way I think they would work like any nomadic group on a giant plain, since one place is the same as the other, other peoples problems do not concern them. |

Otherwise a halflings history in regards to the war is probably driven mostly by their tribes experiences and outlook. Some Tribes are hardliners, believing everyone that isn't a fellow 'plains-person' is an outsider and should be run off the land. Others were mercenary, selling their services to whoever would pay. Some tribes probably aligned with a specific nation, feeling that if that nation won, it would be the best result for the halflings and their tribe. While other tribes did their best to just not be in the path of the fighting at all. Basically, figure out what your tribe is like at first, and your wartime history will write itself. |
