I have up with an idea for my group when running Eberron. For the most part the gods in Eberron don't actualy exist, but in my setting The Traveler does infact exist. In my setting the Traveler is in fact a Dark Waunderer who stumbled across Eberron. While on his stay in Eberron he learned some of the lore and about the gods not actualy existing on this plan, or to be more precise the gods that are being worshiped don't actualy exist. Upon realizing this he understood that to these people his powers wold be that of a god, but at the same time he did not want to be likae any other god. With that he thought up the idea of the Traveler. He had spent centuries playing the traveler but eventualy grew tired and felt the need to explore new realms, but he didn't want his creation to die, so he looked for one worthy of takeing up his mantle. Eventualy he found one and was replaced. Over the course of the millenium there have been many Travelers whome have walked the roads of eberron, thoe they all eventualy tire of this and look for a replacemnt so they can move on to bigger, and more exciting realms. So what do you guys think of this differant take on the Traveler?
