#1 Ogiwan Jul 01, 2012 11:11:35	Greetings, all. So, in Five Nations, it states that one of the five things that every Aundarian knows are 'add a verse' songs, and it mentions 'The House that Galifar Built'. Should we try to come up with our own lyrics? Apparently, there is a nursery rhyme called, "This is the house that Jack built" that looks like an "add-a-verse" song. Though, I have no idea what the tune is. Another add-a-verse song that I know of is "The Ratlin Bog" (that version is slightly different than the one I'm used to, but it gets the point across; more and more stuff gets added on). Another possibility is to appropriate "Tim Finnigan's Wake," as the last line of the chorus fits the syllable count for "In the House that Galifar Built" So, fellow Eberronians, what is in the house that Galifar built?

There's a larder full of cheese in the house, in the house There's a larder full of cheese in the house, in the house There's a a larder full of cheese, a larder full of cheese, and a great big cellar in the house. There's a bed with silken sheets in the house, in the house There's a bed with silken sheets in the house, in the house There's a bed with silken sheets, a bed with silken sheets, a larder full of cheese and a great big cellar in the house. There's a hall for the lords in the house, in the house There's a hall for the lords in the house, in the house There's a hall for the lords, a hall for the lords, a bed with silken sheets, a larder full of cheese and a great big cellar in the house. And so forth and so on. I'm sure now that I've set you off you guys can come up with something better.
#5 charlemegne Sep 08, 2012 8:58:16	That is the house that galifar built, a great and sturdy house it's halls alit by silver torches as his 3 sons and 2 daughters run and play throughought along with his children were 12 pet dragons, each performing different tricks and begging for treats but all is not well in the house for Galifar lies on his deathbed and so he bestows the keys to the eldest child as the keys are dangled in front of the children's eyes, the children grow jealous and spiteful but nobody notices the greed that makes the dragon's eyes go wide soon the wooden sparring swords of thier father are replaced by the dragon's tooth and claw creaking floor-boards and the dropping of eaves with cloak and dagger but then, but then the most pious child is burned by one of the silver-lit torches and is forever changed alliances are made, and the children next door come over to play spying and fighting but then but then a grey mist comes in and strangles the eldest and the keys lie on the floor but none dare touch them for the grey surrounds it THe dragons would have it no other way for they lie fat and greedy on thier hoards, ever so large andthat was my attempt, maybe more of a poem
