Im actually making a lvl 2 cleric character and wish to take a spellscar and reflavor it into an aberrant dragonmark (for Eberron).

But while reading the power, I didn't find the purpose of the whole multiclass options. What is the state goal behind it?

Looking at the powers, it seem that my cleric powers are just plain better than those of the spellscarred which make me wonder about the feat cost.

For example what's the point of horrific mawbit? I mean it does 1d12 with no proefiency bonus while with a two-handed I can do 1d10 damages... On the others my encoutner melee encounter lvl 1 with cleric allow me to either daze a target or the other one do double damage and then heal someone...

The spell tree seem little more interesting, but then again, the cleric encounter power are just plain better.

So im at a loss, did I miss something in the way to use those powers? Or are I am just wasting four feat?

And too, can I use my divine implement with those power even if the power description is arcane?

Horrific Maw Bite isn't that great for clerics, or any other class with already decent melee capabilities. Plague Lash is a superior better option, at least for clerics (dealing 6-11 + Wis modifier damage at a range of 10).
