Greetings, all. I'm currently making up a page from the Sharn Inquisitive for my game today, and I would like to take this time to post the link for all to use:

www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/archeb...

That said, I would really love to see more of these, as well as articles from other papers, such as the Korranberg Chronicle, Korth Sentinal, Wroat Herald, or what have you. They are wonderful game aids, as you can just copy them into a word file, make them fantasylike, and boom, instant handout.

There was a small team of people writing for the Korranberg Chronicle (myself included - i wrote the food and drink section) but sadly it came to an end a few years back. I'd love to get involved in something like that again if anyone is interested in setting it up again !

Can you post the printout that you used? I am curious to know how well it went over. I am thinking of using the newspaper as one of the means I give the PCs quests and information in my newly started Sharn campaign.

Much as id love to im afraid i never 'owned' that part of the workload that was another member of the team whose name completely escapes me. We had it so there was a print layout guy, an IT expert and an editor then 4 or 5 others were 'reporters' who produced the articles and submitted them to the editor.

Wow...Ogiwan and others, thanks for spreading the wealth.  If I ever have the time to put one of these together, I certainly post it.

I was afraid this thread wouldn't see much use. Cool. Dargurd, I would like to extend my thanks for your work on such a wonderful resource. My efforts are much cruder.

In my game, I used the Korth Sentinal, the newspaper I figured that was in Korth, to deliver the Evil Guy's Master Plot. Here's the link: www.megaupload.com/?d=XOQ0B46E

It didn't work as well as I had planned, because (of course) the PCs didn't follow up on some clues that I had figured that they would find, but I was much gratified by the "oh @&$%" my player said as he figured out the plan. The party had discovered an Emerald Claw lab where a magic circle that could turn anything above it into a Karrnathi zombie or skeleton was being developed. My player put that together with the article on the Race of the Eight Winds and figured out the plot, where the party then busted their **** to get to Sharn in time to stop it. Climactic fight in a foundry in the Cogs. It was pretty rockin'.

Much as it's very kind of you to thank me (and it is appreciated) i only wrote the 'restaurant and inn' guide in the newspaper. A lot of far better writers than I were involved in the newspaper. My section was written as a bit of a light hearted section of the Chronicle.

I don't know about official ones from WOTC but I am planning on writing up my own "Sharn Inquisitive" for my players.

My plan was just to do the frontsheet, the headline, and do it all in Photoshop or a similar program. I wanted to use it as a prop to highlight big things going on in the world around them.

There are a lot of cool Victorian newspaper templates I thought of using as a basic idea.
