Greetings,

I'm a new Eberron DM and I'm considering starting the campaign with The Slaying Stone adventure instead of The Mark of Prophecy adventure at the back of the Eberron Campaign Guide. The Mark of Prophecy adventure seems very rail-roadish and a little boring. Do you think that is a good idea? If so, where do you think I should set the events of The Slaying Stone in Eberron?

Finally, I plan on following up the first adventure with Seekers of the Ashen Crown. Any ideas on tying the two adventures together?

Thank you kindly!

My generalize opinion, either adventure works well to start.

I started with Mark and it lead them into Ashen perfectly.  They ended up befriending ir'Gadden, and working for him in Sharn.  This lead right in...

Looking only briefly at Slaying and the creatures involved, you migth put the town on the boarders of Darguun or Droaam, perhaps have Treona in Sharn instead, a member of the University?  Maybe even have them tangle with a Wordbearer with , and tie that into how they get involved in Ashen.

Bear in mind, I really modify my adventures to mesh them into my Eberron world.
