My first idea is to create them according to the character archetype from 3.5 Player's guide to Eberron : - Chronicler - Devotee of the Host - House Renegade - House Scion - Innocent Victim - Inquisitive - Outlander - Restless Wanderer - Scholar-Adventurer - Streetwise Scoundrel - War-torn hero
Some of them don't seem to fit into any of the power source though

I don't think each of those themes would be associated with a particular power source. For example, if you wanted to play a war-torn hero, almost any class and power source could be made a good fit. In Eberron, a wizard (arcane) could be considered a soldier, as well as a paladin (divine), or even a rogue (martial). Take chronicler. In Eberron, chroniclers are essentially essentially reporters. But that says nothing about how you adventure or how you fight. A fey-pact warlock could be a chronicler, serving as a "double agent" for the Korranberg Chronicles as well as feeding some choice stories back to his fey associates. So what is it you're really trying to figure out? |

First step in creating them would be to determine for each a power source. Just finding a good fit with the actual role would be fine, even if characters with other power sources wanted to use them. The Escaped Slave is a perfect example. Anyone can be a slave, but it is a martial class because of the situation they are currently in. - Chronicler, I'd make arcane, just cause they are typically more learned. - Devotee of the Host, Divine, 'nuff said. - House Renegade, If based on dragonmarks, it'd be arcane, if not then martial. - House Scion, Same as the renegade (Maybe fold the 2 into the same theme, they are very close and more an RP option than a crunch one.) - Innocent Victim, can take it 2 ways, 1 martial, similar to the ES, or divine, and have the Gods looking out for the Victim. - Inquisitive, Arcane or Martial, preferably Martial, he is a trained individual, but not nessicarily with a magical bent. Maybe even get some Martial Practices for free. - Outlander, I'm thinking Primal would be best bet. - Restless Wanderer, Again, primal or maybe Martial. - Scholar-Adventurer, Arcane. - Streetwise Scoundrel, Martial - War-torn hero, Divine or Martial, and make it have to do with having survived countless battles. |
