Now i just got finish reading Dragonmark and i wanted to if the Vadalis could move into "Breeding" plants. Lot of people would real be happy about this. If they start to look into this they could make plants and food that live in cold areas, which will help the karrnath. They can create wood that is better for airships they what they got or make it that the wood they used can be grow in areas that is better for Cannith.(i for got what the wood is called). What do you guys think.

I would say yes, as they seem to be the only "organization" to be breeders. Although this in turn could logically be extended to include insects and humans.
Go storm troopers and Khan like super-human beings, which will actuality be in the next ECS.

I'm not sure Vandalis would be the ones to handle this. Remember, taking care of crops falls under Lyrander's control, due to their ability to control the weather and therefore give perfect amounts of sun and water to the plants. Even if Vandalis were the ones to run this, I don't think Lyrander would be happy (again, their Control Weather spells keep it warm enough in Karrnath greenhouses, and now there are cold-resistant plants.

Heh, watch your spelling. Whole world of difference between insects and incest, especially when we're talking about breeding. ;)

Well i think that they would work together becaues they want wood for airships that does not have to come form the elves and they need a lot more of it form what i read. With the Weather think i think that they would not be so bad, i mean if they might be better then normal plants but they still will die with too much bad weather.

Could make for a situation like with Orien and Lyrander, where the two are directly competing for the same market, just by taking different approaches.

Just imagine taking a plant based monster (which would fall under Vadalis jurisdiction, IMO) and crossing it with something that bears fruit or other edible bits. Possibly have a "crop" that harvests itself!

The harvests it self is real cool and i think i know how they could use their mark for plants. Like Revvecor they can breed insects that help them move the the jeans (i think that is spelled wrong) form one plant to other or they can have the many druids of the house help with it.

I think you give the Houses too much credit for being nice to each other, if anything, they'd hate each other, especially when you step on another House's toes. The Houses are basically businesses, and as such, are looking for profit. If an entire section of their House is shut down for another House to instead monopolize the market, they're going to be tension.

Yeah, Lyrander and Orien are in a virtual cold war with each other as is over Lyrander horning in on Orien's transportation business with their airships.

You could actually base a nice "House vs House" campaign on this. Vadalis moving in on Lyrandar "Territory" and the ensuing intrigues, hidden fighting and sabotage on both "fronts"..

I think thats going into my idea-folder :D

Yes, definite campaign possibilities with this one.
Although, the Lyranders are responsible for the weather, making it rain or not rain, they don't have a monopoly on the actual growing of food.

Vadalis would need Lyrander's cooperation, so it could end up being a joint venture.

Except that the plants are made to be immune to weather. If they make the entire food supply cactus-like and able to retain water for a long time, and survive cold and hot weather, then Lyrander doesn't play a role at all anymore.

They would have to make plants that could survive in both extreme drought and near flooding.

Remember, the Lyranders can make it rain, or not rain, as they see fit. You start horning in on their territory, and you'll have unexplained .

XD, that never even crossed my mind. Definitely a good plot in there for how these attacks work.
