| #2lonewolfJan 21, 2009 12:10:56 | in 3.5: no in 4.0: yes |
| #3skeeter_danJan 21, 2009 12:51:05 | Darn. I play 3.5 and I was really hoping I could make a boozehound warforged wizard... |
| #4AmarilJan 21, 2009 12:51:36 | If they're immune to poison, they cannot get drunk. |
| #5lonewolfJan 21, 2009 12:56:23 | heh that reminds me of a campaign where our monk got horribly drunk "one last time" before taking that 11th level. fun times... :D |
| #6RedRiderJan 22, 2009 7:22:21 | Darn. I play 3.5 and I was really hoping I could make a boozehound warforged wizard... You could play Unknown Armies and run a Dipsomancer, enabling you to warp reaility by being drunk... Though you probably couldn't get away with being a warforged in that case. Also, some have noted that the "Drunken Master" prestige class causes the character to treat alcohol intoxification differently to other players. Perhaps you could justify it though similar means, creating a "Drunken Magi" prestige class that produces wild and explosive effects the drunker you get. Then again you could say it's an imagined response. Your Warforged is convinced it's getting drunk, even if it knows it shouldn't be able to. Also of course, you could say you're an experimental inebriation-capable model created by an eccentric forge operator who wanted to see how wide a variety of human experiences he could build into warforged. (Your forge-siblings include a chain smoker with no lungs, an all-you-can-eat-restaraunt's nightmare who has to bring a bucket to act as his stomache and one with an... unnerving belt-slot attachment.) |

This sounds like the best way to go. City of Stormreach mentioned a kind of oil that can make warforged "drunk" and probably addicted. I can't recall the name. But if you look at the book, look for a tavern that serves warforged as a major customer population, you should be able to find it. That's one of the few Eberron books I don't have. I'll look into it though, maybe drop by my local gaming shop and take a glance through it. I might even buy it today if the price is right... |
| #10thaliostJan 22, 2009 13:50:30 | City of Stormreach I think is a book really worth having. This along with Dragons of Eberron and Secrets of Sarlona are so far my favorite books of Eberron ![]() |
