| #1ieattrollsforbreakfastFeb 03, 2009 11:13:13 | Thanks to Hobo over on ENworld for pointing out this juicy find. Prescott's LoBster in Five Nations was pretty badass, but WAR has nailed it with the cover of the Eberron Campaign Guide: ![]() And let's not forget our plucky adventuring duo on the Eberron Player's Guide: ![]() And finally, the Emerald Claw returns in Seekers of the Ashen Crown: ![]() |
| #2ellorinFeb 03, 2009 14:57:35 | Great pictures, all of them ![]() The Emerald Claw elf reminds me of Demise a lot. Could it be that she's back? |
| #3addle-cove-anarchistFeb 04, 2009 14:07:22 | ugh, too unrealistic and apocaliptic |
| #4TyranthraxusFeb 04, 2009 18:40:59 | I like them, although I think the Guy in the armor in the middle shot must be a Goliath or a Space Marine.. he's huge! |
| #5joni-sanFeb 04, 2009 20:33:25 | Maybe the elf is just very small. -Joni |
| #6romulus_lonewolfFeb 04, 2009 21:19:12 | Is it just me, or do those pics form a triptych? |
| #7moosh_nailoFeb 04, 2009 23:03:14 | Some of the coolest Eberron art I've seen yet. Who is the artist? Tyranthraxus, that guy is most definitely a warforged. And I'd bet cash that those creatures with the LoB are Steel Predators, from some old 3.0 or 3.5 adventure. |
| #8PJammaGodFeb 05, 2009 1:56:31 | The two minions beneath the Lord of Blades are Hilt and Pommel, his customised Iron Defenders (homonculi). Of course if they're been updated to Steel Predators... all the more sw33ter \m/ . Nice find Trolls, very tasty artwork. Good to see the Artificer finally being someone other than Throndred the dwarf :P . |
| #9PaulonFeb 05, 2009 2:54:11 | Is it just me, or do those pics form a triptych? It looks to me like the Players and DM's book images go together, with the LoBster on the left, but the adventure cover doesn't match the other two. |
| #10ieattrollsforbreakfastFeb 05, 2009 3:48:52 | Who is the artist? That would be Wayne Reynolds. |
| #11nthdegree256Feb 05, 2009 20:38:27 | ugh, too unrealistic and apocaliptic Huh? The picture shows the Lord of Blades - this is obviously in the Mournland. That's about as apocalyptic as things get, I would say. |
| #12rauricFeb 05, 2009 21:30:00 | I like them, although I think the Guy in the armor in the middle shot must be a Goliath or a Space Marine.. he's huge! He is a Warforged I think. |
| #13TyranthraxusFeb 05, 2009 21:45:36 | Id hope so. Tis a shame we get a pic of a Warforged on both ECS and EPG though. Would of been nice to have seen a Kalashtar maybe. or Vol ![]() |
| #14GiloFeb 06, 2009 0:59:09 | Isn't that the a Gorgon head (coat of arms of house Cannith) in the broken archway above the Artificer? |
| #15jhanzurFeb 06, 2009 4:41:28 | Isn't that the a Gorgon head (coat of arms of house Cannith) in the broken archway above the Artificer? Yes, which supports the fact that its a picture in the Mournlands. Possibly Whitehearth. |
| #16bobiagoFeb 08, 2009 15:14:08 | I like, certainly better than the rather confused and busy artwork of the 3.5 Eberron covers. It is surely the Mournland, and that is surely valid. I wonder though, if that is the right image to be emphasizing for Eberron. Does that give the uninformed an accurate image of the genre of the setting, that is pulp noir? Those of us who are familiar with the setting know its conceits, but will a novice pick up this book thinking it is something like Dark Sun? |

I think the only thing he will be thinking of is Warforged and Bewbs, kewl!!! Lol, serious, WAR is the best out there, all of his art rocks, i'm so glad the Core books and the Eberron books are all done by Mr. Reynolds, love his art to death! |
| #18swgeek77Feb 15, 2009 4:04:24 | Did anyone else notice the Dragonmark on the Artificer's right wrist/forearm? Nice touch. |
| #19GiloFeb 15, 2009 4:29:48 | I believe the Warforged is wearing a Silver Flame tabard. |
| #20swgeek77Feb 15, 2009 19:26:53 | The Warforged looks to be a Paladin of the Silver Flame. Not only is he wearing a Tabard with the Silver Flame on it, but if yu look at his left shoulder you can see a holy symbol of the Silver Flame there. |
