I'm wondering what kinda special abilities that Wf will get
They get an ability to gain temporary hit points when bloodied (Warforged Resolve), some living construct traits (less than in 3E, no outright immunities) including a very nice ability that lets them take 10 on a death saving throw. This month's Dragon magazine also gives them a bunch of new abilities, equipment, components feats etc.

Don't read Races and Classes, it has no rules in it. Read the PHB and you'll see that it matters more. In 4E, the racial abilities stay important and useful all the way up to 30th level.

With the Dragon article you actually have enough to make them a real PC race.
4e Warforged make great Fighters, especially if you play up the "tough as nails" stuff. With maxed Con. and the Toughness feat, you can start with 40 HP. This, combined with Warforged Resolve and the 1st level daily Comeback Strike make for what is absolutely the best "take it and keep going" character possible. At least at 1st level; I haven't even looked at later level Fighter powers yet.
The new Warforged resolve is pretty darn slick. Add that you can build on it and make it more powerful is nice as well. Then there's the fact that I can embed a Wizards orb focii and leave my hands empty screams multiclass fighter/wizard to me. I'm sure we'll see wands able to be embedded as well.
I just really dug the whole "armor is part of who you are" aspect of the 3rd edition 'Forged.
And I'm not too pleased with stripping of immunities, but I can live with that. It's about balance, and even in my hardest of Warforged fanboy hazes, could admit it really offset the race.

Really? In all of your fanboy hazes? What about the one where every race was a warforged version of that race? And heroes would wield weapons that were just tiny, sharp warforged?
But interesting concept, although I think the O.G. Transformers had that covered, when Megatron would transform in to a scoped dessert eagle.

And I don't think I would go that far with my fan boyism. But allegations of superiority were common with my Warforged NPC's.

Now that this thread has degenerated in to some weird erotic fan-fiction above the creepyness of spock and kirk ****-erotic levels, I'll slowly back away and pretend this never existed.
Don't forget to take note of the changes to the Warforged Resolve power in the new article. It now gives you temporary HP, allows you to make a free saving throw against ongoing damage, and allows you to heal a small amount if you're bloodied, all in one minor action.

I was thinking that the saving throw was a typo. Especially, given that there's a feat in that article that lets you make a saving throw when you use Resolve.
If the base power lets you make a save, what does the feat do, let you make a second save? And if so, why doesn't the feat say "make another save" or something like that?

Warforged resolve only lets you save to end an ongoing damage effect. The feat lets you make a save against an ongoing damage effect OR one condition. So if you have the feat and two ongoing damage effects, you can save against both. If you have two condition effects, you can only save vs. one.
Oh please. We all know your dreams were filled with giant, sweaty warforged. Heaving and struggling as they toiled in the hot sun naked except for the stone they were built from. After a long hard day in the fields, they had only sweet, sweet lemonade and poolboyforged to ease their weary, but sexy, construct-hearts.

edit: Heh, Tau are a race from Warhammer 40000, a setting which has a ton of novels, some games, all built up from the tabletop miniatures game. If you have the disposable income, its a great hobby. Buy the models, glue'em together, paint'em, play'em. Or just skip the painting, if you're so inclined.
