| #1the_sentin3lFeb 03, 2009 8:30:36 | Time to post your wierd and wacky inventions that you think should be attached to some hapless warforged. Anything goes. The only criteria is a name, description, body slot and special qualities, and damage, crit, and damage type if it's a weapon. Mine: Power Drill Price: 6500gp Type: P Damage (M): 1d8 Crit: x4 Body Slot: Gauntlet Description: A large, whirring drill extends from your forearm. Special qualities: This counts as a +1 Adamantium weapon. On a successful critical hit, the wielder may make a free grapple check that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. The modifier for the grapple check is 4+ the wielder's strength bonus plus any other modifiers. If this check fails, the target does not get to make a check to grapple the wielder. If the check succeeds, the target is considered pinned and takes 1d8 damage per round until the pin is broken. However, once the pin is broken, the target is no longer considered grappled. Unlike most piercing weapons, the power drill can be used to attack and damage objects. It ignores the first 20 points of hardness. This completly replaces your hand, rendering it unusable while the drill is attached. Also, you cannot be disarmed while wielding the drill. |

| #3the_sentin3lFeb 04, 2009 5:27:49 | I can has Rapture? Actually, was more thinking along the lines Inquisitor Delphan Gruss from the old Inquisitor tabletop game by GW. However, the big blokes from Bioshock could also work (haven't gotten that far yet in Bioshock). |

| #9knights_discipleFeb 05, 2009 5:14:07 | I know this is gonna sound really stupid, but who or what is TTGL? Not stupid. It's not necessarily widely known in the US per se. It is, in fact, an anime. One wherein the main weapon of the protagonist is, in fact, a large drill. |
| #10the_sentin3lFeb 05, 2009 6:52:31 | Not stupid. It's not necessarily widely known in the US per se. Ah. I'm not a fan of anime, so any anime character is pretty much unknown to me. Also, anime is not as popular in Aus as I imagine it is in the US. |
| #11nthdegree256Feb 05, 2009 20:36:41 | The warforged wizard in my weekly Eberron campaign has a keen interest in animal anatomy and an embedded dissection kit in his right arm. I don't have any mechanical benefits to go along with it, other than a presumable +2 circumstance bonus for "having the right tools for the job" should he need to roll a Nature check to dissect something. |

| #13the_messengerFeb 07, 2009 23:57:56 | Depends on whether you're a fan of Panics or WAICon Sentin3l ;) . That would be a no to both. However, my friend (who loves anime) pointed out a variety of strangely dressed people in the city the day before WAIcon. Possibly a connection? ![]() Personally, I can't stand anime or manga. Neither really interested me as a kid, nor do they do so now. PS. The Sentin3l was my old account. This is the new Sentin3l. |
| #14the_messengerFeb 15, 2009 8:54:38 | *Shameless *Also: Hellfire Cannon Cost: 30000gp. Damage (M): 1d8 Type: P Range Increment: 100ft Body Slot: Gauntlet Crit: x3 Description: Six long, thin barrels attached to a central rotating mechanism extend from the base of your forearm, connected to you by a mass of cable and wires. Special Qualities: A complete prototype, this weapon functions like nothing ever seen before, by channelling the user's life force and projecting it from the barrel of the weapon. It attaches to the arm, completly covering the hand, and requires the Exotic Weapon Proficiency Feat to operate. The Hellfire Cannon only operates when attached and locked into place. The Hellfire Cannon counts as a +2 weapon. To work out how many times it fires, roll an artillery dice for each attack you have that round. If you do not possess an artillery dice, roll a d6, and designate the following: 1=Misfire, 2=2, 3=4, 4=6, 5=8, 6=10. The first number is the result of the d6, and the second number is the amount of shots fired (This I hope adds a random element to what's meant to be an experimental weapon). If a misfire is rolled, roll a d6 and consult the chart below. 1 The weapon is well and truly jammed, and requires a DC 20 Disable Device or Craft (Blacksmithing) check to repair it, as well as the proper tools. 2-3 The weapon jams, and the rest of turn is spent fixing the weapon. You may no longer fire the weapon until you spend a standard action repairing it. 3-5 The weapon fires normally, as though you had rolled a 2 on the artillery dice. 6 The weapon fires as if you had rolled a 6 on the artillery dice, as do all other attacks remaining in the round. However, the psychic/magical backlash of the weapon overloading deals you 1d6 damage. This bypasses all damage reduction that you might have, but can otherwise be healed or repaired normally. If the artillery dice roll was a success, roll to hit for each shot. Due to the recoil of the weapon, you take a -2 penalty on each roll. The Hellfire Cannon, in its current model, only has the ability to fire 20 times per day. However, it is possible to increase this number. By taking 3 points of damage as a move action, the Hellfire Cannon may be fired one additional time. Also, as a full round action, you can expend a spell or infusion; the Hellfire Cannon may fire an additional 3x(level of spell/infusion sacrificed). This also works if you sacrifice the corresponding power points for a power level. Cost to Create: 15000gp, 1200 Exp, Craft Magic/Psionic Arms and Armour, Concussive Blast I know, prob a bit overpowered, but by the time you get this, you can prob find most other characters cause similar amounts of damage. Note, this one's just a bit of a laugh. Don't take it too seriously. Never meant to see actual play. However, I am going to pitch it to my DM..... *Insert evil laugh.* |
