Keith Baker, Lee Moyer and Charles Morrow's thoughts especially welcome here.

Ok, now that we know there won't be any books beyond the EPG and ECG, what were these supposed to be? I know that the first was supposed to go in the ECS and the latter in Sharn: City of Towers, and that when they weren't used, people involved with those books didn't want to say what they were supposed to be because these still might have been unveiled in a future 3.5 supplement. And they weren't.

First off, speculation. The first one seems to be taking commands directly, sort of as you'd expect the (substantially smaller) Warforged Titan to do. Maybe some higher level version of the Titan? The second one is labeled "homonculus", which makes me think that this was meant to be a new type of Artificer homonculi...except for the fact that it has a ghulra on its forehead, like a regular Warforged, which would indicate sentience beyond that of a homonculus.

Thoughts?
