Warforged Mouths?

When a Warforged talks, does their mouth move?

It's been on my mind, and I wanted some opinions. I've always thought that when a Warforged talks, that the voice just kinda echoes from their chest/mouth, and the jaw only opened to use a potion, or for intimidation.

Has it actually been mentioned in any books?

You have a lot of flexibility to have this work the way you want it to, and it can vary between models.

I don't think it's ever said, so it just depends on how the player wants it to work.

i think there's an argument that Cannith designers made models with and without. a strong jaw can be a good backup weapon; the human jaw muscle is strongest in the entire body, so a bite is serious with enough convinction, and a warforged jaw could probably straighten bent weapons or implements. then again, an open mouth is an ideal spot to insert bombs, and a ripped-off jaw hinge is a distraction. so they probably tested both out.

The main reason I always thought their voice just kind of emmenated from their chest is because they don't have lips. If their jaws moved, then they'd kinda look like puppets, and that doesn't strike me as working for taking a soldier seriously.

IMO...if Optimus Prime's mouth/mask plate goes up and down when he talks then ...yes, Warforged should follow suit.

I go with Warforged mouths indicate when a Warforged is talking, but not actually flapping up and down like he's speaking. It's more like, jaw opens, voice emanates from head, jaw closes, voice stops.
