Then after being inert for a long period of time (I believe the post said as long as the warforged was "alive") that he becomes active with his memory wiped. When a warforged dies from taking damage it says he goes inert, so does that mean that when a warforged is resurrected that he comes back at lvl 1 with no memory? |

Flavor-wise, that depends how long a "long period of time" is. You can probably save the memory if you get to it quickly enough, but if you leave it too long it will decay. Mechanically speaking, it's the same as any other character with the time limits on resurrection as to what the spells can bring back--the difference is that with an organic it's "Sorry, he's been dead too long, the soul can't use the body anymore" where with a warforged it's "Sorry, the soul can get in just fine but he's been mindwiped down to factory conditions." |

No. The warforged comes back exactly as the ritual that returned him to life says he does. If it wouldn't happen to a human, it doesn't happen to a warforged. |

Warforged are not robots. They do not have 'backups'. |

Warforged don't die, they go inert. You can only resurrect a creature that has died. Inert warforged just need a quick bit of repair and they're not inert anymore. |

The party came across the Warforged and repaired it only to find out that the Warforged didn't remember what happened to cause him to go inert. The party then gained an NPC companion and were on an adventure hook. |

That means they could take one standard actions without penalty at zero hit points, and were effectively stabilized when in the dying range of negative hit points. Without natural healing, they were effectively inert in this "dying" stage unless healed. They still die when they meet or exceed the right value of negative hit points. In 4.0, similar mechanics still apply. When in the state of "dying" they can never roll less 10 on the die, meaning without some penalty to saving throws being applied, they can't die. They are not necessarily inert forever without assistance if they still have healing surges since statically they will eventually roll a twenty. NPC warforged only have a handful of healing surges though (one per tier) and since you can't regain healing surges when dying they can remain inert in the "dying" condition indefinitely. They still die when they meet or exceed the right value of negative hit points. |

Unfortunatly the WFJ gains at 3rd level becomes immune to the effects from the healting sub school. Since resurrection is part of that school, is the warforged juggernaut still subject to that when he is dead (-11 hp)? If so, what other options do we have to save this guy. |
| #12AvonRekaesOct 01, 2009 12:00:12 | Imurrx, I believe there was some specific errata spelling out that Warforged Juggernaughts could be raised or ressurected. Try looking through the 3.5 errata updates for it. |
