Hi everyone !!

i'm going to start a new campaign and i got some nice idea about my next char, but i need your help to realize them...

The char is an human ciborg coming from future, looks like a strogg in quaqe,or a space marine or something like that.He got an m134 vulcan in a place of the arm and a swordlike chainsaw ...

He is a rude trooper , he like splatter enemyes and great war actions, while smoking cigarettes,he doesn't not talk so much...he doesn't like d'n'd world...his only goal is to come back to future.

those are my ideas.

race-warforged

sword-fleshgrinding implacable long sword or bastard sword.

what do you think about ? are those good ideas?

i need yor help for the machinegun

m134 vulcan-some kind of heavy crossbow with magical upgrades...
or some kind of futuristic weapon?help me
it must be a fire spitting weapon dealing a lot of damage...

classes-what classes may i use?he must be an excellent shooter and a good melee fighter...i want a versatile and really fun playing warrior.

we can use all dnd official books
we are starting from low levels but we hope to play beyond the 20 level.

i think that you guys of the eberron forum can help me...eberron has a lot of tecnological stuff....

thank you in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Eberron has a lot of magic stuff that resembles tecnology. But people still don't use machine guns.

Anyway, try using the rules for repeating crossbows.

Depending on what level you're starting at, maybe use the rules for a wand of magic missiles or something? You'd need to talk to your GM.

One question to think about. Where's he going to find ammunition for a minigun in Eberron?

Hmm, he could do as the Lord of Blades and have that warforged implement that lets them add wands to their arms and shot by pointing. Only problem is that magic missile never misses.

What is the lord of blades?

we use 3.5e rules

there's no problem for ammo.if i will use crossbow i'm gonna use crossbow's ammo,if i will use wands the ammo is going to be the wand's power.

my GM says that i can use repetition crossbow's rules or wand's rules.
he told me that i can choose what i want, but i need your help to understand what is better...i did never use repetition crossbow and i did newer use a wand...can you help me with some exemples of wands or crossbows that looks like a vulcan chaingun?

i think that we're starting from lev 6.

thankyou everyone

Machine gun arm = Wand of Scorching Ray (especially since you said "it must be a fire spitting weapon dealing a lot of damage)

That way you have attack rolls, and good damage, and you can get replacement wands as "upgrades"

Scorching ray also has a machine gun feel since at higher caster levels (8th and 11th respectively) it fires 2 and 3 rays per use.

the only problem I would foresee would be spell resistance.

If it was more of a high-caliber cannon, I would use Lesser Orb of Fire (from Complete Arcane or Spell Compendium) since that also has respectable damage but doesn't allow spell resistance because of being a Conjuration (creation) spell.

Sounds like a great (albeit campy) character, I wish you a good campaign.

ok...

those are the some ideas

wand of schorcing ray-like aaron said.
maug rock thrower from fiend folio-but it doesn't deal enough damage-are there ways to improve it?
repetition crossbow with magical encanchment
futuristic weapon from dungeon master guide modified to look like a vulcan

what is better what do you think about?

thanks
