| #2mystrichOct 03, 2008 22:27:16 | I thought we still had the last thread of parties up, but I don't see it. We just started a new 4e game, so all level 1: -Gnome Wizard - Wanted to travel the world, but was interrupted by introduction plot point. -Warforged Fighter - A mercenary for hire -Halfling Rogue - A strange thieving and perhaps somewhat crazy halfling -We have a cleric and one other. The first couldn't play today, and the other used a premade since he wasn't supposed to be able to make it until next week. |
| #3skrap-sanOct 04, 2008 5:26:31 | 4e game Changeling/doppelganger from aundair wizard with a knack for comforts and a laugh. Dragonborn fighter generaly interested in ale and conquest. Country not yet named. Shifter ranger from the Eldeenreaches aspiring to become a demigod, but a bit slow on the social side. Human Cleric of Thrane, standard procedure: Hate Karrnath, worship flame and be a bit uptight with morals. all lvl 3. |
| #4apparitOct 04, 2008 5:36:07 | Daelkyr Half Blood (Half-Elf) Monk - Fled from Thrane, raised in a monastery worshiping the Dark Six. Not a happy bunny. Goblin Rogue - Droaamite, wants to carve out the Goblins' place as a dominant power in Droaam and the world. Bit crazy. Changeling Wizard - Only one session, and he missed it. Halfling Druid - Trained by the Wardens of the Wood, has a Least Mark of Jorasco and despite her affliations with the WotW, is evil, in that she's entirely merciless to those who seek to abuse or harm nature. All Level 1. We've only done one session in The Forgotten Forge and the Monk was incapacitated by one attack from the crazy Warforged. |
| #5GiloOct 04, 2008 8:14:01 | I thought we still had the last thread of parties up, but I don't see it.week. I think it was here: "So who is playing 4E eberron and what is your party made of?" |
| #6LeviMilesOct 05, 2008 12:26:12 | Well, I'm a busy high school kid, and so are all my friends so we have a very rag-tag random group. Normally about 5 people show up to play on an given night... so it's very random! -5th Level "Male" CG Warforged Fighter (Fought for Cyre) -5th Level Female LG Half Elf Cleric of the Silver Flame -5th Level Female CN Elf Rogue (House Phiarlan Run-away w/ Least Mark of Shadow) -5th Level Male Aerenal CG Half Elf Sorcerer (Diplomat - chosen because he can actually relate to people) -4th Level Female CG Gnome Wizard (Illusionist - this PC is fun because her player is a guy) -4th Level Male CG Valenar Elf Ranger (Ran away from his warclan - player is a college kid so he's curently inactive) -2nd Level Male CN Shifter Longtooth Barbarian (Hasn't shown up for a LONG time) |
| #7Arcane_GuyverOct 06, 2008 2:34:05 | My party's in the throes of fighting off Daask (a branch of it, anyways). They're all about 11th level. The party consists of: * An adamantine warforged warrior who loves to collect weapons. * An inspiring half-orc warlord who leads an army of dedicated orcs & half-orcs on his airship, setting up an orc kingdom in the Shadow Marches * A halfling serial killer, who seems to live only to kill members of Daask. * A Lyrandar windwright captain (who has his own airship, crewed by humans, elves & half-elves). * A very reckless gnome artificer, prone to performing near-suicidal maneuvers just because. |
| #8DigitalMageOct 06, 2008 5:42:34 | The convention scenarios I am writing for D&D 3.5 Eberron include teh following PCs and the character concept write ups: Harn Eldritchson - N Human Rogue 3 You are a spy and investigator for Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn of New Cyre. Hard bitten and cynical due to your final duties in the Last War of rooting out corruption and traitors amongst the Cyre militia. Now you hope to help rebuild a new homeland since Cyre was devestated by the magical explosion on the Day of Mourning. Brannad - LN Warforged Fighter 3 You are a construct built for a war that ended in your nation being destroyed. You feel you have failed, and try to make amends by serving Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn of New Cyre as enforcer and bodyguard to his aides. However many still view you as only a weapon - a thing - built within the forges of the Dragonmarked House of Cannith. Vokalis d'Orien - N Human Bard 3 You are Dragonmarked of House Orien and a veteran of the Last War. You fought for Cyre inspiring her troops as a "war poet". Your chants and sagas gave courage to your men, yet for many their only fate was death. The death of your son whilst under your command broke you, and you fled Cyre with your wife Elspeth. When Cyre was destroyed, driven by guilt, you convinced Elspeth that you had to aid Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn in building a New Cyre in Breland. Grahl Longtooth - CN Longtooth Shifter Ranger 3 You are one of “the weretouched,” descended from humans and natural lycanthropes your kind has evolved into a true race. Able to take on animalistic features and abilities, you used your skills as a scout for Cyre in the Last War. You are skilled at tracking and fighting the undead troops of Karrnath and hate Thrane's Church of the Silver Flame. You barely survived the destruction of Cyre and now serve Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn as he tries to rebuild a New Cyre. Sylander Magewright - N Half-elf Cleric 3 You are a cleric devoted to the deity Kol Korran, one of the Sovereign Host, and god of Trade and Wealth. Your devotion to your god means you strive to excel at being a merchant and diplomat. Born in Cyre during the time of the Last War you negotiated difficult trade agreements. Now that Cyre has been destroyed you rallied to Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn's call to build a New Cyre within Breland, as such you work as diplomat and negotiator for the refugee nation. Drannel Stonehammer - N Dwarf Artificer 3 You are an artificer of magical devices and artifacts. You can infuse any normal item with magical ability making it magical itself. You were born in the Mror Holds in North East Khorvaire and as such were a subject of Karrnath. But as the Last War raged on you became disgusted by the use of the undead as troops and defected to Cyre. Now that Cyre has been destroyed you serve Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn in his attempt to build a New Cyre within Breland. |
| #9TalaeOct 06, 2008 13:31:07 | All 4th Level almost done with Keep on the Shadowfell and moving onto my own Eberron stuff: Eladrin Wizard (Wand) Eladrin Ranger (TWF) Dragonborn Warlord Elf Rogue (Dragonmarked) |
| #10nerdicusOct 06, 2008 14:27:48 | We are playing in a custom Eberron that is 500 years in the future of the ECS start time but here is what we have for players: Minotaur Cleric of Kord( the old religions are still around, but there are even more religion, this means the core religions. We are doing this so that we have the core religions, but also because I have also felt that religion in Eberron is less about what you belive, in more about the fact that you believe.) Dragonborn Paladin of the Raven Queen( the player did this thinking in 3.5 terms hoping to have a brutal damage machine, even though I told him what a Defender meant in the new rules, and he is feeling a little irked that the rogue is out doing him in damage round after round) Halfling Rogue( brutal scoundrel) this guy was the grognard who put up the most amount of fight against the switch but so far he is enjoying it the most due to the fact that he is doing the most damage and is really settling into the new roles the best) Tiefling warlock( infernal pact) so far this guy hasn't really had the chance to get into his character yet. Our first two sessions he spent the whole time figuring out his character sheet and the third session he spent on the phone with his GF, but he is very enthusiastic about the character so we have high hopes. In this campaign there are two of us DMs running the game simultaniously. So far it is going great. One dm is the main dm each night and the other dm is support. We split the xp allowance evenly and run our own monsters in fights( sometimes even ending up with in fighting amongst the monsters) and both help the guys with coming to terms with the new rules. So far I keep track of all the items and gear the guys find, and the other DM keeps track of more of the NPCs. THis is so far turning out to be the best campaign we have run. :D |
| #11el_tommoOct 07, 2008 3:53:36 | Dragonborn Paladin of the Raven Queen( the player did this thinking in 3.5 terms hoping to have a brutal damage machine, even though I told him what a Defender meant in the new rules, and he is feeling a little irked that the rogue is out doing him in damage round after round) In what 3.5 game was there a Paladin that outdid a Rogue in DPR anyways? XD |
| #12Elton74Oct 07, 2008 7:30:51 | I just sent out my Players' Guide to my player (and possibly his brother). Showing what books I'll be using for my Eberron Game; and any house rules I've decided to use at that time (Tuaren, WoW Warlocks, WoW Shaman; Some approved Feats from the Conan RPG and the Noble Class from the Conan RPG, Monte Cook's Chaositech; showing that the Dalkyr or the Lords of Dust will play a part in the campaign). So far, the party is made up of . . . 2 players with concepts. My player is leaning toward a human psychic (a shaper or psychic warrior). I don't know what his brother is planning. I've got a few NPCs for them to meet up with: Kalharath; NG Kalashtar Soulknife 6/Fighter 4 -- NPC Soulknife and holy knight of the Kalashtar. Kalharath grew up in Stilstone Holt in Stormholme. A martial artist first and holy knight second, Kalharath was trained in the Dance of Shadows -- the Adaran Martial Art, and knows a few tactical feats. Kalharath is a brooding sort of fellow who have personally witnessed the Mourning from the borders of Karrnath. He hears his true brother, Halharath (stats in Races of Eberron), calling him to Sarlona and it's beginning to weigh heavily on his mind. Does he help his people, or his family? Aerlene Wildeye; CG Dreamsight Shifter Shaman 7 -- Aerlene is a shaman, a cleric specializing in the Elements and Knowledge Domains (WoW Shaman). She has the Dreamsight, a talent that is rare among shifters. Her greatgrandsire was a werewolf, and her Granddam was a weresnake from Xen'drik (see Serpent Kingdoms). She favors her Greatgrandsire in appearance, but gained the Dreamsight common to shifters descended from weresnakes. As a spiritual leader in training, she left the Eldeen Marches on a quest, not for fame and glory; but to prove her womanhood. |
| #13madninjapimpOct 08, 2008 14:27:05 | We jumped into 4th ed as soon as it was out. Our game Our party now consists of: Quinn - A Half Elf Paladin of the silver flame and Cyre refugee who dabbled with dark powers when she was younger and seeks redemption. Sovereign - A Warforged of Cyre who was called to be a paladin, but gave up his destiny to save Quinn and now walks the path of a Warlord loyal to the flame. Julius - A Figter and Longtooth Shifter of bear ancestry, loyal to his crown and country of Breland. A newer member of the party, not much is yet know about his past. Grumbar Kundark - An unmarked Dwarven Artificer who prefers a grand explosion to counting coins. Marlo Cwik - A Human Karnathi war veteran who moved to Sharn to set up shop as a detective, but now guides the group through whatever dangers they encounter. (Ranger/Rogue) |
