| #1wraithstrikeMay 25, 2008 22:10:21 | I came up with the conclusion due to the docent in SoX that the quori came to Xendrik to escape the age of coming darkness. The giants were already working on warforged, and the quori with their psionics would augment the giants' magical abilities so it only made sense to keep them in Xendrik. The giants and quori worked together with an idea of using docents as a way to give the quori a body which would benefit them in this world, and keep them safe until the new age of light came. Some of the more evil giants through propaganda convinced enough of the others that the quori were dangerous(maybe a giant was killed, who knows) but the quori project was slowed down almost to a complete stop, and previous agreements fell apart, which eventually led to an all our war. The secret of the warforged was lost along with many other secrets until recently, and while improvements were made they are still similar enough to the original warforged to use docents. The docents that still exist have some intelligence, but are not the same as the quori spirit that it once was* *Or a docent could be a modification to the "save the qouri" idea, the brain behind a warforged, that could allow it to live in another body after the the original is destroyed The docent in SoX was the only successful candidate. Any other ideas? |

The warforged were originally designed to be host bodies for them and the docents the linking component. Hence the Kalashar, which are the good, let's not take over complete and instead live as symbiotic beings, and the Inspired who say screw you fleshy beings, your body is mine now. I believe the second type of Quori are the ones who began the war by trying to declare eminant domain on the humanoid population. |

The warforged were originally designed to be host bodies for them and the docents the linking component. There was never an official word on why they attacked or who made the warforged. It is suggested that it could have been an idea the quori stole from the giants, or something the giants were already doing. I think the quori had the idea of asking first, and then inviting themselves if they did not get cooperation. I dont think they were evil at that time, but they were in a desperate situation. |

The quori that attacked then were not evil is what I mean, but they knew they would become the quori of today, so they may done what they thought they had to do, but then again I guess forcing yourself onto another civilization could be considered evil regardless of the circumstances. I have read on Emperor Culsir(sp), and he may have tried to take advantage of their situation, but that may have not been known to the public. |

Supposedly the last turning made them the way they are now, and the next turning will make them good, but the current qouri dont want that to happen so they are trying to kill all the kalashtar. I guess the last group was more neutral than anything else. |
| #8snarky_monkeyMay 26, 2008 0:07:48 | Wasn't there also reference of the idea that they wanted kill the Kalashar because they thought that they would then be turned to the Inspired way of thinking when they began again? |

Yes, that is their goal because they don't want their plane to change again to an age of light(enlightment). They feel like if the kalashtar are dead the change wont take place. |

| #11snarky_monkeyMay 26, 2008 10:47:56 | Not sure how long a turning is supposed to be, but the change involves their, for lack of a better word, moral outlook. Kind of like an alignment shift, but even deeper cause it changes a fundamental way they actually think about things. Pretty dramatic, all things considered. As pointed out, the current age is one of well, darkness, in a sense, ie the Inspired. The existence of the Kalashar shows however that not all Quori are of the same thought when the shift occurs, hence why the Inspired believe, that by killing the Kalashtar, they will put off the age of Enlightenment by basically turning the others to their way of thinking by starting their shift early through death. |
