I have come up with this 'Idea' that I am currently using for a character in our campaign.........a 4th (lost) shard/brother dragon. Each shard would then house 'elemental' abilities, if discovered and used properly....

Kyber = Fire
Siberys = Air
Eberron = Earth
Yarghgris = Water

all up to you the DM of course

here is my explanation in a rp for our online game

"Many thousands of years ago, the great progenitor of wyrms, the first and greatest of dragonkind, ruled all. The four most powerful of their kind, brother dragons, created 'The Prophecy', said to contain the future of the world. A world shattering struggle followed, splitting our world into four parts and scattering the Prophecy across the width and breadth of existence. In the end, The four brothers became one with the world. Siberys joined with air, becoming the glowing ring that surrounds the world. Kyber joined with fire, and was bound in the darkest depths. Eberron joined with earth, and healed the world between, and the fourth brother, Yarghgris joined with water, and gave the world life. Siberys called forth the next generation of dragons. Eberron created all manner of land life. Yarghgris created all life in the vast seas, and Kyber spat out all the fiends. Kyber's fiends ruled our world for thousands of years. Long before the dragons rediscovered the prophecy and rose from their primitive state. Sometime during these hellish years, legend says that Kyber betrayed his brother Yarghgris, attempting to claim his power for his own, and failed. Yarghgris disappeared and his name was almost all but wiped from the annals of history." Tarn'darr takes a sip of wine. "It is said that in the depths of the sea, a deep blue dragonshard can be found, with blue and green veins. These 'Yarghgris Shards' are said to be very rare, and very powerful."

Lox sits transfixed, absorbing every word.

"Legend says that the great giant civilization discovered these shards and began harvesting them with vessels that dove beneath the water. The dragons destroyed the giants when they abused the power the dragons had taught them and once again, the Yarghgris Shards were forgotten, but not by all. You will find stories of the fourth shard in everyday life, if you keep your ears open." Tarn'darr takes another sip of wine and looks at Lox. "Are you ok?"

I hope that maybe someone can use this or add to it

If you want to keep the theme going, you need to change the name of the fourth dragon so that it has "ber" within it.

I'd make Khyber Earth. For 1, Khyber is underground. 2. Eberron is a red dragon, I believe, AKA: A fire one.

I think it makes sense as is. It also more closely matches the names of the various kobolds of Khorvaire.

haha....im a moron........i never once associated the -ber- in the names.......i went alphabetically........E....6 letters away....K so i took S......to.....Y

I like this as well...........I took Eberron as earth due to his joining with the land to create all life....Kyber went to the depths....and fire has always been protrayed as 'unstable' so i figured it would fit him better.......but if you like the idea.....feel free to change it to fit your story or idea

thanks for the feedback
