Your best guess on the approximate age of King Boranel

I've been thinking about this recently as it ties in to my campaign.  AFAIK, there is no established date for Boranel's birth (please correct me if I'm wrong, I'd appreciate it).  We know for a fact that King Boranel ascended to the throne in 961, and that prior to that he was a succesful treasure hunter in Xen'drik.

Taking into account most campaigns are set in 998, that means Boranel has reigned for somewhere near 37 years.  One could logically claim that Boranel's adventuring career took place sometime between the ages of 17-30.

The new book suggests for the first time Boranel is starting to show his age.

All this taken into consideration, that puts Boranel as between 54 and 67.  I think I peg him as closer to seventy then to his mid fifties, but what is your best guess?

I've got him on his death bed in my game, so I'll have him closer to seventy.

The availability of cheap and reliable magical healing notwithstanding, the setting is still medieval and thus 50 is still considered 'old' for a human (you're just likely to see more pentagenarians in Eberron than in other settings).  'Showing his age' might just be in relation to what the average person might expect from someone in their fifties.

That said, I've always assumed him to be 76, but that's because I happen to like the number 76.

I seem to recall readin in the 3.5ed campaign setting that he was in his 80s.  They have a big timeline of the world and I think the date he was born is on there.

I'm pretty sure he's in his late 60's.

Old enough to kick a little ass, not too old where he can't hit on your female party members.
