| #1merrikcaleAug 11, 2008 10:40:15 | I started a thread like this awhile back on the FR Boards. I always find other adventuring parties interesting. There make up and their history. So lay it on me. Gimme your parties name, characters, and even a bit of its history. I loved that stuff. |
| #2grug_the_justAug 11, 2008 11:58:48 | Rather than retyping, I'll just give you the link to my description of them. Keep in mind at this point we've only been through one session. |
| #3NivedAug 11, 2008 12:31:20 | My first 4th edition campaign set against the backdrop of Stormreach. Ghesh, Dragonborn Infernal Warlock. Born in Seren (I don't force Dragonborn to be from Seren this is what he wanted), when he came of age he was suddenly, unexpectedly banished from his homeland without an explanation (a plot hook he left me that I'll try to impale him on later). His wanderings brought him to Xen'drik, and Stormreach. He's spent over a decade their now and become known as somewhat of a scholar on things draconic. William Drake, Human Cleric of the Sovereign Host (with a perchance for Dol Dorn, reflavored Kord's channel divinity feat). A fresh of the boat Khork, and rather zealous in his faith. He is absolutely certain that the only divine powers on Eberron are the Nine and the Six everything else is a bastardization. Here's the fun part, I'm fairly certain that my friend playing this character never picked up the City of Stormreach sourcebook. It is just absolute coincidence he picked the same last name as Tania Drake, the LE Cleric of the Host who resides in Stormreach and wants to take over the Cathedral of the Host in Stormreach. As such William and his player were very surprised when I sprung his Cousin who he hadn't seen since they were children on him. Not originally part of my campaign plans but she's going to try to use him (and his new friends) for her own gains... oh yes. Dredger, Dwarven Fighter (was a Warlord for the first game session, but the player asked to change, which was fine with me). Veteran of the Last War who came to Stormreach for 'some peace' after his tour ended about a decade ago. Takes odd jobs to get by, often mercenary in type. Has history with Greigur d'Deneith, they came across each other a few times during the war. The adventure started with 'Lord' Gerard Goodblade's murder, Goodblade actually had something of valuable for once, a broken slab with a part of the draconic prophecy on it. He was in the process of trying to sell it to Hassalac Chaar through a middle man when Goodblade was killed in his home and the slab dragged through a hole in his basement into Stormreaches sewers. As the Stormreach guard 'doesn't go underground', the middleman hired a stout warrior he knew and an expert in things draconic to go try to retrieve the slab, it was just happenstance that a cleric, fresh off the boat came looking for Goodblade for unrelated reasons and decided to assist in the tracking down of his murderers. Then we were off to the races, cults of the dragon below, Dargunn War Criminals, and rumors of a mad white dragon followed in their wake. Its gonna be fun. |
| #4dsivisAug 12, 2008 17:01:22 | The game I'm playing in is a 3rd-level pulp game set in Sharn and the surrounding area. I'm playing Zeke Ironskull, a Gorebrute Shifter Duskblade who enjoys running people over or through and playing hrazhak. He's a Last War vet who worked his way up fighting against Droaam and discovered his magical talents during a key battle. He's a Brelish patriot who tries to get shifters to integrate into wider Brelish society while convincing non-shifters to become hrazhak fans/players. The other party members are: Kylaer: female Aerenal Elf Cleric of the Undying Court. Ecclesiastical scholar sent by her superiors to investigate magical weirdness in Sharn alongside several other clerics of other religions. Somewhat withdrawn from others, which is only pierced by deadpan remarks...particularly ones involving Zeks's bizarre grooming habits. Alonso: Human Paladin of Boldrei. Descended from lesser nobility, he's a bit stuffy but is an amazing negotiator. Works as a tutor to bourgeoisie children when not smiting things. Zeke tries to get him to enjoy life/alcohol more. Sam: Unknown gender personality Warforged Urban Ranger. A quiet, thoughtful investigator who doesn't remember her(???) time before working as a PI in Sharn's lower levels. Zeke doesn't have him/her figured out yet. |
| #5fabius_maximusAug 13, 2008 10:09:53 | My group is on and off playing the Forgotten Forge series. We are level 7 now, and almost done with the last installment. There are: Last: Warforged Fighter with Sub levels. Got his name because he was the last Warforged that rolled out of the Creation Forge at Eston before Cyre "exploded". Ironically, he's almost always first in battle. ;) Garren: Human Soulblade. Last's army companion. Both saw no action during the rest of the war and came to Sharn because one of the dead or dying they found in the aftermath of Cyre's desctruction had a broken schema on him. They took it and sought a broker to sell it in Sharn. Which leads us to Elliwen d'Sivis: Gnome Bard of the barristers guild in House Sivis. She's of the House's lower ranks because she has no Dragonmark. She brokered the deal for the two soldiers and more or less got caught up in the adventure. She became quite proficient with her crossbow in the course of the story. The last character is mine: Doran Vown d'Cannith: Dragonmarked Sorcerer (variant). Doran was a spoiled child and ne'er-do-well, despite being blessed by a Dragonmark. He didn't like the pressure his House and family put upon him, and most likely would have faced excoriation if he'd not taken the opportunity to do a few small favours (like trudging through sewers, entering the Mournland, being caught up in crashing airships and almost beaten to bloody pulp by proto-warforged) for his (great) aunt Elaydren. Doran was the one who bought the broken schema from Last and Garren, one of his small errands he ran for his House before his fateful meeting with Elaydren. Now, he's quite the competent mage, and likes adventuring, especially if it pays well and keeps him in the House's favours. That doesn't stop him from complaining, though. :D |
| #6DigitalMageAug 13, 2008 10:52:57 | These are actually the characters I wrote for a campaign of convention scenarios I am writing (the campign being entitled Champions of New Cyre). Harn Eldritchson (Human, Rogue 3) You were born in the small city of Eston on the western border of Cyre and raised largely by your grandmother as your parents worked abroad. It was only on achieving the age of 16 that you were indoctrinated into the life of espionage by your parents who both served in Cyre's intelligence services. Following in your parents footsteps you trained as a spy and served your country during the Last War gathering military intelligence on Karrnath, Breland and Thrane forces. Towards the end of the war you were assigned more missions involving rooting out double agents and disloyal Cyre Mitia. The suspicion and disdain you suffered in this role as an internal investigator did not sit well with you. When the Day of Mourning happened; when beautiful Cyre, jewel of Galifar’s vast holdings, exploded in a blast of arcane power the likes of which hadn’t been seen since the ruin of Xen’drik forty thousand years before, you were abroad, undercover in an attempt to expose a military sergeant as a traitor. You abandoned your mission, no longer seeing the point, and travelled back to Cyre in the hopes of helping rebuild your homeland - but when you saw the grey wall of mist surrounding the Mournland you knew that would never be possible. Then you heard tell that Prince Oargev ir’Wynarn, ambassador to Breland and the last son of Cyre’s ruling family, was bringing together refugees and attempting to forge a new home within Breland. You answered Prince Oargev's call to duty and now serve him along with a number of others. Brannad (Warforged, Fighter 3) You were created in the forges of House Cannith of Cyre only four years ago, two years prior to the end of the Last War. You are one of the last Warforged to have been created before the Treaty of Thronehold (the document that ended the Last War) declared Warforged people, not property, and forbade House Cannith to produce any more. From the moment you were created you fought for Cyre, knowing no other life except that of a soldier. You witnessed death on a daily basis and learned to accept it as "routine"; for a time you served under the leadership of Vokalis d'Orien a veteran war poet and leader. Ironically, you were not within the borders of Cyre on the Day of Mourning, when Cyre exploded in a blast of arcane power the likes of which hadn’t been seen since the ruin of Xen’drik forty thousand years before. You had only recently been reassigned to guard the Cyran ambassador to Breland Oargev ir'Wynarn and so did not suffer the fate of so many of your fellow warforged. Now, as Prince Oargev struggles to build a new homeland for the Cyre refugees you have become indispensible as a bodyguard and enforcer of the Prince's will, working under the guidance of Harn Eldritchson and Sylander Magewright. Vokalis d'Orien (Human, Bard 3) Born into the House of Orien, you displayed the Dragonmark of Passage and were inducted into the Transportation Guild working within Cyre. Whilst leading a trade caravan from the capital Metrol to the city of Eston you met your future wife Elspeth, but you were also instrumental in leading the caravan to repel an ambush by Karrnath undead on a reconnaissance mission from Fort Zombie. Following this event the Cyre military recruited you as a war poet. As you studied the art of war and leadership, you courted Elspeth, finally marrying her when you were 22. A son, called Kahlim, was forthcoming a year after your marriage but you saw little of him as the Last War demanded more of your attention, Elspeth begged you to turn your poetry to some better cause - your reply to her was always "What use is poetry if you have no country?" It was a proud day when your son joined the Cyre militia and he grew to be an accomplished warrior. However, on the darkest day of your life, you led a company of young Cyre troops to battle with Thrane, among them was your 17 year old son. The intelligence you had been given was flawed and the Thrane troops were double the number expected. Three quarters of your men died that day, amongst them was your son. And you would have died that day if not for a Shifter called Grahl Longtooth who killed the Thrane forces about to finish you and dragged you to safety. It is a debt as yet unpaid. Broken hearted you deserted the Cyre military and returned home to Elspeth. Distraught and sick of the war you left Cyre heading for Breland though unsure of your final destination. Two days later Cyre exploded in a blast of arcane power the likes of which hadn’t been seen since the ruin of Xen’drik forty thousand years before. Guilt consuming you even more you convinced Elspeth to turn back and aid the refugees. Now you work for Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn building New Cyre within the borders of Breland. Yet Elspeth grows more withdrawn, and you continue to feel guilt for failing her and your son. Grahl Longtooth (Longtooth Shifter, Ranger 3) Your first clear memory is as a child, running with your siblings through the wood, fear in your gut and the smell of burning flesh in your nostrils. Thrane religious zealots had invaded your parent's farmstead setting it alight and killing them in the name of the Silver Flame. You and your litter-mates ran, but the arrows cut down all but you, who managed to escape. You managed to scavenge and hunt for food and shelter for warmth, and over time found yourself in Cyre. You grew up, mainly alone, and became a trapper selling furs and meat to local villages of Cyre. But the Last War was raging and ultimately you had to choose a side; with Thrane as an immediate threat you offered your services to Cyre. You served as a scout for Cyre and defended its borders from both Thrane and Karrnath forces. It was the latter who sent undead troops to war and you developed a knack for tracking their numbers and fighting them. In the last few days before Cyre was destroyed by a blast of arcane power the likes of which hadn’t been seen since the ruin of Xen’drik forty thousand years before, you were scouting on the Western border with Thrane when you saw Cyre forces being overwhelmed by Thrane troops. The Cyre war leader, Vokalis d'Orien, fought valiantly holding off the Thrane forces but eventually he fell and the Thrane troops marched past him pursuing his men. You killed the few lagging Thranes who moved in to finish him, and then dragged him from the battlefield. You saw to his wounds and led him to safety, but you could do nothing for his spirit, crushed by the sight of seeing his own son die in the battle. When Cyre was destroyed you survived and helped the refugees to Breland where you now serve Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn hoping to forge a New Cyre. Sylander Magewright (Half-elf, Cleric 3) You were born to parents who were both merchants, despite the family name, neither you or your parents were capable of controling the arcane powers of magic. That did not however stop your mother and father becoming successful, and therefore wealthy merchants, and they attributed their good fortune to their prayers and adherence to the tenets of Kol Korran. When you were ten years old, your faith in Kol Korran was fully rewarded. You were travelling with your parents as part of a trade caravan between the Cyre capital Metrol to the city of Eston when it was ambushed by Karrnath undead on a reconnaissance mission from Fort Zombie. You felt sure that you would die at the hands of the vile enemy, but your father calmed you and, hidden in the wagon in which your rode, he led you and your mother in prayer to Kol Korran to protect his faithful. And your prayers were answered. One of the caravan guards, a young man of only 18 years or so, rallied the other guards and led a fight back saving you and your family. That day you felt Kol Korran's protective embrace and determined to become a cleric to his ways. Over the years your parents taught you all the tricks of the trade and you became quite a sharp negotiator. Alongside this you learnt from Clerics the divine ways of Kol Korran and how to request his magical assistance. As the Last War raged on you became instrumental in negotiated trade agreements on behalf of the Cyre government. When Cyre exploded in a blast of arcane power, the likes of which hadn’t been seen since the ruin of Xen’drik forty thousand years before, you were in Valenar attempting to convince the elves to once again support Cyre in the Last War in return for riches and official recognition of their nation which they had annexed from Cyre. The negotiations became moot and you were lost as to what to do, however you heard tell that Prince Oargev ir’Wynarn, ambassador to Breland and the last son of Cyre’s ruling family, was bringing together refugees and attempting to forge a new home within Breland. You answered Prince Oargev's call to duty and now serve him along with a number of others. Drannel Stonehammer (Dwarf, Artificer 3) You were born 144 years ago in the year 854 since the founding of the Kingdom of Galifar. The Mror Holds, in North East Khorvaire, was your birth place and as such you were a subject of Karrnath; yet when the Mror Holds seceded in 914 YK you remained a loyal subject to the then King Kaius II of Karrnath. The reason for your loyalty to a human king was a naive wonder for the power wielded by the first King Kaius and his successor; as an apprentice artificer you marvelled at the magic that could re-animate the dead allowing Karnnath to wage the Last War without risking the lives of more Karrnath subjects. With the creation of the knightly Order of the Emerald Claw you felt confident that Kaius would lead Karrnath to victory. But that victory did not come, in 910 YK Kaius the First died in mysterious circumstances, but you remained loyal to his son Kaius II - at least at first. The Last War raged on despite Karrnath's vaunted power and Kaius II began to rely more and more on harsh treatment and force to keep his warlords in line. Rather than a noble order, the Emerald Claw became a tool to strike fear into both Karrnath's enemies and its own subjects. Over time you became disillusioned with Karrnath and its leaders, Jaron - the son of Kaius II - continued with his father's dictatorial cruelty when he became king. But his attempts to justify his means as a way to win the Last War no longer held sway with you - you had experienced the Last War for far too long to stomach his excuses. The final straw came when you were on reconnaissance within the borders of Cyre with a squad of undead warriors from Fort Zombie. Your party came across a small group of refugees travelling to Cyre's capital Metrol; the screams of the women and children still haunt you to this day as your forces massacred them. You realised the great price you pay for using the dead as your soldiers in a war - without fear of losing a loved one your leaders do not seek peace quickly enough, and the troops they employ do not show the mercy and compassion that a living subject would. Once you returned to barracks you made your escape and in 964 YK you defected to Cyre, seeking their protection in return for intelligence. Ironically, Jaron died seven years later and his sister Moranna ruled as regent until his son Kaius III could assume power (as he has now done). You considered returning to Karrnath, but you burnt your bridges. Worse yet, in 994 YK Cyre exploded in a blast of arcane power that decimated your new country completely. Now, Prince Oargev struggles to build a new homeland for the Cyre refugees and you serve him in any way you can. |

| #8elanthiscannithFeb 17, 2010 3:04:17 | Since I am the party scribe, even though this is an old thread, I will use this scroll of resurrection, that I just spent the past couple of days scribing, to bring this thread back from the dead.

Jessi Lord Easton Lanthis d’Cannith OOC: This is a newish Campaign, but between all the players we have almost 200 years of AD&D experience between us, we are a combination of two tables, one has been playing weekly since 88, the other since 92. All of us save the warmage and Karchuk are DM’s with current active games lasting between 3-12 years. So our current DM for Eberron has put us onto an accelerated advancement curve we average 1 level per two weeks, sometimes quicker more often slower. We changed from our homebrew worlds (one was 2nd edition and the other was a hybrid of 2nd & 3rd edition) to Eberron when our DM finally talked his roommate into stepping away from 2nd edition to 3.5 back in October at 1st level. I am the highest at almost 10th with our lowest (discounting the warmage at 3rd) is almost 8th. That was one condition that Dree had, he didn’t want too advance slowly after all we have been 1st level characters thousands of times between us over the years, and we had just built a city (after two years) in Olin’s 2nd edition homebrew world. I find that funny, we gave up an average party level of 12th in 2nd edition characters for 1st level 3.5 edition characters. Traded a newly build castle and developing our city to become slaves in a bugbear camp.. ..it worked out I have written a few score pages of stories for our adventures, I am out of my writing funk, so whenever we take a break from the 3.5 and go back to the Hybrid world I run many supprises await them… Anyway ya.. long story short, people still play eberron 3.5, heck we even go back to 1st edition for an adventure once every month or two. If you read this far then you have my thanks.

| #9need_a_lifeFeb 25, 2010 14:01:36 | Our group is: Warforged. 3.5, since 4e left a bad taste in the mouth ;) Warforged Scout (Ironwood Body), Incarnate 2 (me) Warforged Scout (Adamantine Body), Artificer Warforged Scout (Adamantine Body; Psiforged Body), Psion Warforged (Mithril Body), Barbarian 1/Fighter 1 Warforged (Mithril Body), Scout Warforged ([undecided]), [undecided] The campaign hasn't yet started, but is to be about the Draconic Prophecy. The group all fought for Cyre during the last war and were commissioned at the same time (5 years before campaign start). We're a bit on the combat-heavy side and religion has only marginally played into our vision of the characters (The Lord of Blades was mentioned a lot, though :P) Some players have already named their characters, but not all, yet. My character, the Incarnate, is called Seeker as he subscribes to the Blood of Vol. His reasoning is that his powers have appeared spontaneously and since the others don't possess these abilities they weren't intentional. Thus, the Divinity Within seems a logical progression. We all have some sympathy for the Becoming God and agree that the Lord of Blades does have a point when he says that the flesh is weak. Killling them all seems a bit... extreme, though. |
| #10SarlaxFeb 25, 2010 17:04:54 | I'm running an Eberron game. The party just reached 5th level. The campaign premise is that the PCs belong to one of several teams created by a secret article from the Treaty of Thronehold. These teams are empowered by the Treaty signatories to put down warmongering forces before they can start a new war. Their existence is secret because the various sovereigns assumed their people wouldn't have agreed to the terms. The PCs make up Team Argonth, named for the fact that in the campaign's "pilot" adventure, the PCs stopped Brelish and Thranish terrorists from destroying that fortress. Nys is a changeling assassin. In the war she was an independent contractor who took jobs that were profitable or interesting. Born decades into the war, she felt the conflict was endless, so there was no harm in profiting from the deaths of people who would die in the war anyway. When the initial treaty negotiations were happening in 995, she was getting much less work, but caught a break getting a job to assassinate someone on Argonth, a Lady of House Cannith. When the terrorist attack began, she realized her actions actually would influence the course of the war - she could restart it or help it stop for good. She made the choice to prevent it. Xin is a shifter warden. Xin lived in southern Thrane near the Breland border. He was born into one of several semi-nomadic shifter communities in the area who just tried to avoid the war. When he was in his teens, a rabble-rousing mage named Aracus in Thrane stirred up a mob to attack the shifters - he'd convinced the mob that the shifters were traitors, supplying intelligence to Breland, and probably in league with lycanthropes. Many of Xin's family and friends were killed in the attack, and he joined Breland to get revenge, leading many guerrilla attacks against Thrane's forces in the war's later years. In the 995 pilot, Xin was contacted through a soldier's network and asked to lead a strike team into Argonth to take out Aracus, who had somehow gotten onto Thrane's diplomatic team. Once on board, Xin found he'd been duped - Aracus wasn't on board and his fellows were hoping to drive Argonth into Thrane to provoke that country back into war. Now a member of the Article 13 organization, Xin tries to stop others from letting their emotions lead them to open conflict. Vau is a deva shaman who was most recently reincarnated in Cyre just after the Mourning. Vau doesn't understand why precisely he appeared in the Mournland, but he takes it as a sign that the war is a great evil he must fight. He made his way to Korranberg and with his excellent knowledge of history landed a job as a political journalist. He was on board Argonth to report on negotiations when the terrorists attacked. The experience moved him to take a more direct role in preventing wars, although he still uses his column to shape public opinion against further war efforts. Mal is a human invoker of the Devourer, born a bastard to a powerful Lyrandar heir and his human mistress. His father never conceived a half-elf child, so he used his influence to get Mal work on various stormships, but his embarrassing lack of a khoravar child led him to keep Mal at a distance. Shortly before the Mourning, Mal's reckless navigation led his ship's captain and crew into a terrible storm. Rather than dying in waves, Mal bizarrely manifested the Mark of Storm. Most who found out about him called for his destruction, but the intervention of the Storm Front kept him alive and allowed the event to be covered up. He's since wandered Khorvaire, following storms. He was led to Argonth by what he believes are signs from the Devourer. He works with the organization for now, not because he is particular opposed to war, but rather to witness the signs of the new storm of war he believes cannot be stopped. |
| #11saigonFeb 27, 2010 18:41:01 | well, im DMING a 4th edition game (like it should be, hehehe) based on fantasy noir/gothic theme. history starts in a small town in northern aundair caled "oldkaly". winter have been longer and more bitter than it usually was. but the heir of the feudal lord (who had recently passed away) arrived from distant lands to reclaim his properties. he happened to be a necromancer serving "the five echelons", a covenant of powerful vampires that serve the lords of dust themselves. one of the npcs was "the daughter of syberys" the only living person that has the mark of syberys. she, (after 10lvs of pursuing the necromancer) was sacrificed at the gates of the city of DIS, and her soul offered to dispater. in fact (as explained in primal power) the primal spirits protect eberron from the incursion of opwerful deities and demon lords, but the daughter of syberys wards all non-natural beings of great power in eberron. a few interpretations of the draconic prophecy let the pcs know that its the time for Koliada, the winter witch to enter the world, but she cant, since she is a powerful feylord. the vampires then trapped the soul of the daughter of syberys, so the winter witch can enter the world and freeze all of khorvaire, wich is another prophetical event that would release many of the lords of dust (including The blood lord (orcus), and bel-shalor (the pcs dont know this yet) the party is:
we had another player, lucyan "darkhope" of isor (shadar-kai swordmage) that died in a fight with a frost dragon inside the winter citadel of taer-syraen in karnath. he was the brother of lyona of isor, the daughter of syberys, when he died, his dragonmark (warding) awakened ian from his slumber in a block of ice, and ian took the role of lyona's protector. |
| #12superdeadsmurfFeb 28, 2010 7:54:35 | I'm DMing right now, my players are: Tempest, Warforged Paladin|Barbarian - A member of an extranational martial/holy order that the player made up, based in Breland. Doesn't know what happened to him before walking out of the mourning mists and being helped by the Brethren. (Dead) Varis Tialaen (V.T.) Phiarlan, Elf Wizard (Illusionist)- an (unmarked) member of House Phiarlan, who trained at the Demese in Cyre, and traveled with the house circus for a time. Recruited later for the more secret missions the house undertakes and given some autonomy. His goal in adventuring was getting enough money to start up his own "Greatest Show on Earth." He was attacked and assassinated by house Thurranni for reasons that are only now becoming clear. Shivana Lucan, Changeling Cleric of Olladra/Bard - A Changeling who passes herself off as Khorvar (Half-elf) - so much so she's never even changed shape in front of the party. The dead lover she took her last name from seems to have been killed for knowledge of a powerful bardic ritual that the party is currently after. Worships olladra because she has nothing but bad luck - Lost her lover, lost her best friend in early levels (and carried that friend's essense in a Khyber shard, looking for ways to free her) and misses a lot of attack rolls :P - the player went on Hiatus, so right now she's a companion character. (retired) Shaarii, Genasi Swordmage - A native of Toril, she got caught in the spellplague and shunted to Eberron - Lucan from Whispers of the Vampire's Blade trapped her in a big Khyber shard somehow, and now Shivana, her best friend is looking for a way to get her out of the shard. (retired) Namfoodle Zook d'Sivis, Gnome (wild) Sorcerer - Went (a little) mad reading books that shouldn't be read, and got sent off by the house to a small message station in sharn to keep him busy and out of the way. Decided to follow the party and abandon his post quite randomly. Made things blow up good, but then got detained by his house again. The party keeps coming across newspaper articles in the Chronicle written by him about their exploits (these reports are not 100% acurate) (retired) Pascal d'Lyrandar, Half-Elf (Storm) Sorcerer - Youngest first mate ever on a Airship, came across the party when they were taking passage on the ship ... just before it was raided by skypirates and crashed. She refuses to believe in things like Vampires and some other supernatural ideas and creatures. When the party decided to raid a ruined cannith enclave she returned to her house, thinking it unconcionable to steal from a dragonmarked house. Yahayata d'Deneith, Human Rogue - A Sentinel Marshal, slowly coming to distrust his house leadership, and the beurocracy inherrent in a law enforcement agency. Vadallia, (Valenar) Elf Ranger - Following the footsteps of her ancestor, she is trying to track down the Killer of Varis Tialaen Phiarlan, and punish them. Abrasive and always looking for an actual challenge. Going slightly mad. Amnestria, Deva Wizard - She just began existing last gaming session, midbattle, eventually aided the party in fighting off Khyber cultists. Desidrious, Deva Rogue|Wizard - He appeared at the same time as Amnestria. |
| #13Madfox11Mar 01, 2010 5:00:06 | Playing. At the moment all the PCs are members of the Dragonmarked Houses, and through our actions we seem to have become some kind of troubleshooting group for the Twelve. We are all level 7 at the moment and busy rescueing the daughter of the Baron d'Midani (who is a bit too high profile to get involved directly in the case).
* These characters have a dragonmark. |
| #14theredrobedwizardMar 01, 2010 10:31:24 | About to start the game tomorrow, should be full of exciting. Still a few significant details missing, due to a lack of communication with a couple of the players, but it's shaping up to be a bunch of fun. The hilarious thing is, Lavan's player and Serra's player both wrote their background independantly but came up with strikingly similar themes. Lavan Firestorm (Genasai [Cindersoul] Two-Weapon Ranger) - Former soldier / test subject for House Denieth. After the final days of the Last War, House Denieth began some rather dark experiments working towards a new Super Soldier program. Working in concert with the elemental binders of Zilargo, they forced a fire elemental into the soul of an exemplary House Denieth mercenary. The resulting explosion / wide-spread fire ended with the cancellation of the program and the presumed death of the primary test subject (one Varian Denieth). Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your outlook), Varian survived. Lost, confused, and in a totally alien body, he stumbled out of the wreckage. He took a new name upon learning that he was assumed to be dead and took to his new life as a wandering sellsword. Usha (Longtooth Shifter Warden) - No real details known yet, but she has a blatant distrust for the Silver Flame and all it's followers. Do'knarr (Dragonborn Sorcerer [Dragon Magic]) - The result of a miscast Summoning spell during the Last War, Do'knarr has lived the past 3 years in Aundair studying with the various mages that make that country their home. He claims to be from a Realm long Forgotten, but most of his companions just laugh that silly idea off. Serra Hardison [Denieth] (Human Bard [MC: Cleric, MC: Warlord]) - Educated at a private (and rather zealous) school in Thrane, Serra passed all her classes with flying colors. After school, Serra entered an exchange program with House Sivis to promote diversity (and espionage) amongst the Houses. There, she studied the Draconic Prohphecy in their vast archives. At 17, she was drafted into military service for her House. She fought just outside Metrol on the Day of Mourning. A brilliant flash engulphed her platoon and everything faded to black. When she awoke, she was in a holding cell. She was released after a few days of questioning, finding herself in the grounds of Morgrave University. She learned that House Denieth had declared her K.I.A., thus leaving her without a home to which she could return. She took up the mantle of adventurer (as well as a new surname) on that day, dedicating her life to studying the cause of the Mourning and its effect on the Prophecy. Baratharas ["Barry"] Ethraos (Eladrin [Valenar Elf] Rogue) - Not much is known at the moment, except that he's reflavoring the Fey Teleport power as a Ninja Smoke Bomb. -TRRW |
