#1 ograx Feb 01, 2009 21:43:49	Is there anything else coming out for the realms this year? I checked Amazon.com but all I could find were Eberron and normal sourcebooks. I found alot of FR novels too just no adventures or sourcebooks.

#3 Stigger Feb 01, 2009 23:48:50	Indeed... there's the possibility that WotC might reverse that decision, but I wouldn't hold my breath over it if the DDI support seen thus far was any indication.

WotC has said that if the sales are good enough to support an additional setting-specific book. Based on the lack of news for an FR book, it would appear the number of people who bought the FR products aren't substantially larger then those who have bought the non-FR 4th edition D&D books so it makes no financial sense for WotC to produce further FR books.
#5 Diffan Feb 02, 2009 6:47:29	What I think we can hope for is a collection of Realms-related DDI articles in print that people may want to buy. I for one am not going to spend money on DDI but would purchase that sort of collection.

It's been speculated that it may have an FR section.
#7 kerym_ammath Feb 02, 2009 7:53:53	As of this morning WotC has commited to produce at least an article or adventure a month for FR and Eberron. I am assuming one each. The first one is a City backdrop for FR. They are also encouraging fan submissions. Thing will be getting interesting.:D

Throw in the holidays, and a continued heavy print schedule, and well it was on the to do list just not on the "this is going to be late if we don't kick it in the rear" list. At least we finally have a commitment.
#12 lord_karsus Feb 02, 2009 9:59:19	-As has been mentioned, via D&D sourcebooks, all of them that are dealing with the Forgotten Realms (The FRCG/FRPG) have already been printed. Any information on the setting will now be given via novels, or by online DRAGON/DDI articles, which you need to sign up to get access to.

And I could go on and on about how one should not invest in a 'dead setting', but they have plans to produce further material in the DDI... Oh yessssss... they have planssesss.....

Imaginative creations, even contrived and compromised ones, aren't subject to death.
