#1 _Luca_ Oct 20, 2009 16:34:19	Hi everybody. Like the most of us here on this board, I'm trying to collect more detailed information on the post-Spellplague realms. So, let's talk about the Bloodstone lands... According to the FR-CG, about 20 years ago Gareth's heir was assasinated, leading the kingdom into the civil war. This mean that Gareth is dead too, right? How? What do we know about the other members of the Gareth's party (Kane, Emelyn, etc...)? The Warlock Knight took over Vaasa, Yarin Frostmantle (from Morov?) took the throne of Damara and the civil war spread all around the country, the beast descent from the north and the increasing activity in the demon-haunted Dunwood to the east. What about the Tree-gem in the Bloodstone Palace? Has it been just forgotten from everybody? The demons' activity means that the protection offered by the tree has been broken? By the Spellplague?
#2 sfdragon Oct 20, 2009 16:43:00	dont think anyone really knows. but yeah GAreth is dead and would of been dead of old age.   if anymore of the dragonsbane line exists they are in hiding.

Theyve purposely left alot of blanks in there, allowing DMs to fill in whatever they want. But yeah the Spellplauge would be the most likely reason for the protection of the tree to no longer apply.

Yes he is. As for the method, we don't know, but these seem safe: 1. Old age 2. Spellplague Catastrophe in Damara 3. Assassinated Take your pick. What do we know about the other members of the Gareth's party (Kane, Emelyn, etc...)?   Those who didn't have viable means of escaping old age (which was everyone but Kane, correct?)... are dead, of old age. Kane might still be around, since he's a tough cookie. Then again, he might not. And longevity spellscars and similar effects are still possible, so again, we don't know.  What about the Tree-gem in the Bloodstone Palace? Has it been just forgotten from everybody?  It's been forgotten by the designers, it seems. Whether the people remember it is another thing. Given Bahamut's greater role in Toril in 1479 DR, you'd think it would be on everyone's mind, but apparently a century's worth of generations have lost that nugget of information. #5 suin_bahhar_02 Oct 21, 2009 11:23:02	The dragonfall wars have not ended, so perhaps the destruction of the treegem and the return of all those demons is Tiamats doing. Or Sammaster's heirs and its Cult of the Dragon.

Given Bahamut's greater role in Toril in 1479 DR, you'd think it would be on everyone's mind, but apparently a century's worth of generations have lost that nugget of information. That's exactly what I'm thinking... Anyway, what about the bloodstone valley, and in particular the bloodstone village? I know there the civil war in the whole region, but what do we know about these places? Is there some information about who is ruling there? which party (i mean about the civil war) is stronger in that region? How the village is now organized? Has it been sacked/destroyed by the Yarin Frostmantle agents? Are there people still loyal to Dragonsbanes?
#7 The_Silversword Oct 22, 2009 6:49:49	I'm not sure if theyve had any added info on this region or not. There might be something in a LFR adventure? I dont think any recent novel have covered the area. I think youre pretty safe in just making it up. The rule I've always heard is that unless its specificaly states that something is no more we are to assume it still exists, so since weve heard nothing about Bloodstone village i think its safe to assume that its still there. As for people still loyal to the Dragonbanes, that makes good since to me. Gareth was a good ruler and a legendary figure.
