Okay so I started playing D&D 1.5 years ago... been doing LG all that time. I now want to immerse myself in the new LFR world.

So, I want to read some FR novels but I don't know where to start. I'm most interested in the old world to 4e conversion stories and/or the books leading up to this.

Can someone recommend which books and the order in which to read them? Please specify which ones are in the 4e timeframe.

Thanks for the help!!

I read The Last Mythal trilogy, from Richard Baker, and I enjoyed it a lot! Elves are very important to the Realms and this trilogy is excelent in terms of elven history.

I am currently reading the Twilight War series (Shadowbred/Shadowstorm, llast novel comes out this december iirc).
It is of particular interest to me as it focuses on Netheril's take over of Sembia.

I agree with the Twilight Wars series.

I also found that I very much enjoyed Swordmage

Richard Lee Byer's "The Haunted Lands" series fits the bill. The first novel Unclean takes place pre-Spellplague, while the second Undead takes play at the time of the Spellplague.

Swordmage was very good.

Twilight Wars not to be confused with Twilight.

Can we put a list together of books that either take place right before the Spellplague and up to the kick of of LFR? I would also like to read them but not sure what is out there.
