#1 kaelenselunel Jul 04, 2009 16:35:29	Okay, so by now, it's probably fairly well established that redeemed Dark Elves in 4e are "Elves" stat-wise. Now, something Brian R. James mentioned in a different thread, about the possibility of Eilistraee surviving as an Archfey in the feywild, got me thinking on a concept for an older character I'm bringing forward into the new realms. I had hoped the Eladrin stats would be used for Dark Elves, admittedly. And the stats certainly suit my concept for the character better. But it's try to justify using them without making all dark elves eladrin that was a sticking point. So here's what I'm considering. The character, Kaelen Mae'val, was one of Eilistraee's Chosen in my old 3.5 campaign, before Eilistraee's death. With her death, he lost the majority of the benefits of such, but I imagine some vestige of her power remained inside of him. With the exposure to the rampant spellplague in the event that transfers him to the new era (being frozen in time, waking up in the new time period), perhaps it had a strange effect on that vestige of power, still linking him to the archfey Eilistraee (who is still dormant, at this point, in my current group's campaign) and making him more...fey-like, closer to Eladrin than a typical dark elf, and preserving my original concept for him. I think this works fairly well, but I wanted the opinion of others about this, since I'm trying to balance this out and make it seem more feasible.
