Akachi???? - Downloaded from the Wizards Community, all coding removed by Solauren

#1 baldurs_gate_99_dup May 15, 2009 19:53:19	I read on the FR Wikia that Akachi was the chosen of Myrkul and that this is from NWN2. This is the first I have heard of him since I don't have the game. Is there any more information on him?

Myrkul went and............. yeah the Betrayers Crusade came and went.... and just how do I do the spoiler tag again??? Show according to the Game Akachi was a favored priest of Myrkul when his red wizard woman died and was thrown into the wall of the Faithless, he begged his god to free her and return her to him, which of course he did not, thus Akachiraises and army and mounts a crusade to seize her from the wall. He only partially succedes, she is freed but Akachi becomes known as the betrayer and his cursed

Show Apparently, Myrkul made Akachi into some kind of soul-eating leech (kind of like Darth Nihilus in KOTOR 2) that lives off of someone and forces the host to consume souls. One of the ending of the game is such that the main character can consume Akachi and then become some sort of god-killer that can eat gods (and to think Myrkul didn't use something like this on his enemies). The whole plot with the Wall of Faithless also doesn't make sense. Bad story in general.
#9 Stigger May 19, 2009 9:50:24	Sure it does. Its about mortal frailty and priorities conflicting with divine ones. Its a pretty good take on a tragic romantic (and no, not in the Harlequin sense :P ) story.
